My friends are I stayed at this property while we were running an ultramarathon in Crested Butte, and it was amazing to have such a beautiful, comfortable place to rest and relax before and after the race. Also, my boyfriend brought his fly-fishing rod and was super excited to be able to catch fish in the creek at the bottom of the hill!
Me and my 8 other girlfriends drive over from Denver to have a really fun weekend of Mtn biking and camaraderie! We had the best time and the house was conducive to having a wonderful time with some amazing friends. House was roomy, fully stocked, heated tiles in the bathroom, huge garage for bikes and cars, great hot tub, plus more! We had the best time!!
This group of friends has planned an annual ski trip for nearly 20 years now. This house fit our needs. Great set up from the kitchen to the bedrooms to the spacious hot tub. Very nice to have garage access and room to park in the driveway. Arrived during a snowstorm. They were not kidding about need for all wheel/4 wheel drive. Crested Butte provided great skiing for us.
The sunset view of Mt Crested Butte with the American flag flying, was simply stunning! The house was perfect, well appointed, spacious and comfy. The property manager was great and very responsive. Crested Butte is the ultimate family mountain, we had an absolute blast skiing with 3 of our four kids aged 10, 8, and 6. The property is also gorgeous and spacious, would love to see it in the summer with ambling creek!
This cabin was better than we hoped for! Plenty of space for a group of 12 adults. Easy access to the mountain and downtown CB. Quiet and beautiful neighborhood up the hill. We wanted to stay longer!! *would recommend 4WD in the winter
This house really is a 5-star VRBO property. The property management company was very responsive. I would recommend staying there to anyone who would like to ensure a large group is comfortable. The only weird thing that happened during our stay was a negative interaction with a neighbor. The neighbor stopped by with a large black dog to tell us to move vehicles we brought out of the garage so they could park a vehicle in the garage. At first, the neighbor claimed the vehicle they needed to park was the owners (but they also asked if we were the owners). We contacted the property management company and they addressed it right away and told us we didn't need to move the vehicle. The neighbor then came back and again insisted we move our vehicles out of the garage. The neighbor was visibly frustrated when we informed her of the guidance we received from the property management company. In the end, the angry lady parked the vehicle in the driveway which we all agreed was weird and awkward but not a huge deal overall. The few interactions we had with the neighbor were a minor annoyance but it did not detract from our stay.
We chose to stay outside of town, so we could share a house with another large family. Worked out great, really enjoyed being on the edge of the wilderness instead of the busy town. I would especially recommend it for winter time since the drive to the mountain is so short.
We loved this house. Plenty of space for a large group and located just far enough off the main areas of CB & Mt CB that you had some space and privacy. It was a short walk to the trailhead for Long Lake and Snodgrass and a short drive into town. We would definitely come back to this home. My only negative - the rental company didn't communicate via VRBO messages and we're not particularly responsive to email. When called they were extremely helpful. So a very minor issue.
