This was my first trip to Costa Rica and after researching, thought that San, Juanillo in Guanacaste was best/safest place. There are very expensive and highly populated areas and everything in between. This property is up in the mountains, 15 minutes between two fishing villages and 30 minutes from a surf town, I thought was much like California. We were able to visit all areas, participate in the turtle nesting tour, deep sea fishing and many authentic Costa Rican restaurants as well as shopping. We did drive to Arenal Volcano and it was an entire day but so amazing and drove through coffee fields on the way home.
The best part about where we stayed was it was in a secured community, we hiked through the neighborhood, had complete privacy and the outdoor living spaces were amazing! Unbelieveable! We saw little racoon like animals all over, monkeys and lizards all over the property and many varieties of birds, including parrots. It was pretty hot and dry but the pool was so refreshing and you just step out of any room into the pool, the breezes were wonderful and one terrace was cool in the morning and the other in the evening. We spent a lot of time at the home and just enjoyed living in paradise for the week! At night, we chose to open up the home and sleep with the cool breeze and sounds of nature all night and monkeys waking us at 5:30 AM!
We will definetly stay again. I didn't think I'd like being away from the beach but I loved it. It was so surreal.
My family enjoyed our stay at the Frank's resort home in Costa Rica. The house had more than enough space for our family of 5 and we enjoyed all aspects of the home from the banana trees and coatimundis on the side of the house to the views and sounds of the ocean from within the infinity pool.
Each morning we awoke to the sound of nature and ocean waves, as the monkeys in the distance sang their morning songs and the waves provided a peaceful tranquility to start the day. The afternoons were filled with fun in the pool and a relaxing time to take a break from the heat in the living room watching movies with the kids.
We enjoyed travelling to the nearby towns and trying the local restaurants followed by nice evenings at the various beaches.
I would recommend the Frank's home to anyone looking to experience Costa Rica and all it has to offer. The home provides a luxurious experience with a real resort feel, while also providing access to experiences that will suit anyone's tastes, whether it is relaxing at home or venturing into all the local areas. Fishing, beaches, restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping areas are all within a reasonable distance from the home.
