I loved my stay at the Aloft-Richardson, TX. Parking was easy, check-in efficient, the entire facility was spotless, friendly and helpful personnel, all of this adding to the vibe of this Marriott property. To sum it up, you get bang for your buck.

The location was had walkable restaurants and bars. The hotel itself was not up to par. The bartender was very rude, the bed sheets weren’t cleaned properly. The shower wasn’t great either as the hot water finished within 5 minutes.

The property was new and the facilities were all there. The dining options were average but they were within walking distance which was great. I wish however there was a convenience store that was close by so I didn’t have to walk to Whole Foods for basic things. The hotel had basic food and water in the lobby though. The staff could be friendlier. I came in and didn’t notice the registration area because the hotel was very minimalist (the registration was literally a round table so it was easy to miss especially since no one was there). So I walked past the registration area and reached the bar, so I asked the bar tender where the registration area was, and he pointed where it was with a facial expression of “you just past it dummy”. So there. The property was great though. You can manage not to talk to anyone really.

Really loved the location and hotel. The front desk staff, specifically the guy with the glasses was an absolute pleasure and very helpful to the best of his ability. All the staff that were there for my three day stay were very nice. Room was nice with a nice view but the only bad thing, that almost ruined the visit for me, was that at check in I was told, after driving 8 hours, that immediately the next day at 10 the water would be shut off. And indeed it was, with no bathroom access in the entire hotel for pretty much the entire day into night. There were no vouchers offered or reimbursements offered or made aware to the staff to my knowledge, for this major inconvenience. It would’ve been nice to possibly have a heads up before traveling so I could’ve booked somewhere else but unfortunately that was not the case.

the staff was super friendly. It was annoying that the property didn't have any running water one of the days from 10am till 6pm. This kind of threw a wrench in our travels plans that day and then once it was back up there were blacks chunks in the water while it goes through the pipes. otherwise, great property and love all of the stuff around it.
