good alternative on the other side of Dallas - with a little more cleaning - this place is nice
The property is accurately described, the interior design is nice and exactly as shown in the pictures. Communication was ok, even though it could have been a bit more friendly. I was taken by surprise when being offered Marijuana prior to our arrival (through messaging ) and perceived that as kind of unprofessional (even through it is legal - and I am aware of it). It was part of the hosts online store and offered prior to arrival. I perceived it as weird, especially since we had a 4 year old kid with us.
When asking when we would receive the arrival information it was clarified again that this information is only available 15 min before check in and that no locks would unlock prior to that (I didn't even dare to ask whether an early check in is possible). The reason for the 15 minutes was "cleaning". However the place was pretty dirty. While it looked organized at first sight it is very likely that only vacuuming happened. This place has not been mopped in a long time and all floors were dirty and sticky. Our bedsheets were not washed either, there was plenty of hair between the comforter and the bottom sheet. My husband and I noticed this both independently. In the sink there were green plants growing, which must have been seeds sprouting in the garbage disposal
The neighborhood was ok. We were not scared & enjoyed the short walk to the Bishop Arts District as well as the street car.
