My recent stay at Motel 6 was a frustrating experience from start to finish, marked by a shocking lack of transparency and significant cleanliness issues. It began at the front desk, where I was told there would be an additional, non-negotiable $75 per-vehicle parking fee. This was a complete surprise, as I had not been notified of this charge at any point during the booking process. The sudden, undisclosed fee felt like a "bait-and-switch" tactic, completely undermining the hotel's reputation for affordability and transparency.
The problems continued once I got to the room. The condition of the room was unacceptable. The bed sheets were visibly dirty, which immediately raised concerns about the overall hygiene of the establishment. To make matters worse, there were no towels in the bathroom, and the bathtub was covered in stains. This level of neglect is simply inexcusable and shows a clear disregard for basic guest comfort and cleanliness standards.
Between the unexpected parking fee and the unsanitary state of the room, my stay was far from the simple, affordable experience I had anticipated. The lack of communication about the fees combined with the unhygienic conditions made for a deeply disappointing and frustrating visit. I hope the management addresses these issues immediately, as they significantly detract from the guest experience.
