Was charged for parking in an open lot next to a main road but with no security at all. Anyone could park in the lot but the hotel imposed a daily charge. They even confirmed there was no security personnel to monitor the lot or track the parking. But the hotel required a charge. The sinks were odd. Using the sink meant water would get on the mirror above the sink because they were so close to each other. No hand soap supplied in the room. No kleenix but it is winter and Kleenex are needed. The room lighting is too dark; thus difficult to work in the room after 5:00.

Not bad, not great. Nylo used to shine a little brighter years ago. Easy in/out access to the location, however why do we have to pay $10 per day for parking in a regular parking lot? No garage, no outside security, no nothing. Nickel and diming where they can, I suppose. Rooms are just okay. Very small. The industrial style hotel design and rooms are super outdated. Bed was okay, bed linens were horrible. The room bathrooms are open air above which provides no privacy or warmth. No central air so the window unit was tricky, hard to keep a solid temp and the unit itself needed to be cleaned as after night one, we had sinus issues. Food was mediocre at best, they had breakfast buffet (motel style) and then closed til 4pm so NO lunch option on site. Dinner was very "bar food" style. Gym was small but clean and enough options to get a good workout. Office meeting spaces were small but doable. No onsite business center. Hotel convenience store area was severely lacking. Staff was fine. No major issues to deal with. Check in/out was fast. I wouldnt stay here on business. Its more geared toward "twenty something" year old travelers. Great location as its close to alot of dining and shopping options and major roads. Mid overall.

The staff were AMAZING. Which is why I didn’t give a 1 star. My bf and I usually stay at Marriott properties or Sheraton properties and decided to step out of those and try something new. We picked NYLO Dallas based on a tiktok review. I understand this hotel is a boutique hotel but what I didn’t expect was the strong scent of hip and young hitting our nose when we opened the door. It was like walking into an Hollister clothing store and we didn’t like it. Room was small, nothing special. We fought with the shower handle because the shower temperature couldn’t regulate. We would set the temperature to warm, and then it changes to piping hot (yes, my skin was a bit burnt but not too bad.. was bright red), to freezing cold. It just couldn’t keep a regular temperature. The shampoo conditioner and body wash was below average. The sink was too small. For the price we paid, we were very disappointed. Customer service reached out and asked if there was anything they could do.. we didn’t offer any solution because we were only there another night. We made it very clear that it was not staff.. but the property itself. We also paid for parking.. which I found odd. I’ve paid for parking before but only for gated parking with security on premises or at a resort. Price was too high for what they offered in room.
