This duplex cottage was beautiful, spotlessly clean, well-equipped, professionally managed, and just steps from a beach. Everything in the hostâs control was top notch.
Unfortunately it is located in a resort development which appears to have gone bankrupt years ago (tarps on several roofs, boarded up buildings, closed restaurant). This was a bit of a bummer, but the good side of it is the beaches are not crowded at all. There is not much to do on the island and we probably should have stayed 2 nights instead of 3. Overall though I am glad we went. There is a lot of interesting history - and potential for the future - at Daufuskie.
