Great beach trip.

We had 11 people staying at the property and it met all of our needs. A downside was the ice maker that was advertised, did not work and the fridge ice maker could not keep up with the demands of ice we needed so we had to go buy ice almost daily. While the deck for the pool and hot tub was fantastic, the contractor did a very poor job of clean up. We found several nails/nail strips and chunks/shards/blocks of wood in the sand where we were playing. We made a point to clean up as much as possible but found more daily. I think we all ended up with a foot wound from stepping on something left behind. Otherwise, our trip was great! The notifications about the tropical storm potential was helpful.

We had a great time. House was great overall. Few things. All the tubs are stopped up with hair and draining slow. Cleaning overall could use some major improvement. One of the beds had dirty sheets. Bed was full of sand. Access to the house is slightly difficult with the loose sand. Having to carry all your stuff across it from parking is tough. Some sort of walkway would be really nice.

Problems we had during our stay.

The property was very nice but it was only “surface clean.” Under the furniture was very dirty. There were bugs on the top floor- big bugs. This is a 6 bedroom property with about a total of 8 wash rags and 10 towels. The garbage can inside had bags in them but the kitchen cans were very dirty. Several of the chairs on the decks were broken. After paying nearly 10,000 dollars for a weeks stay, we were sort of disappointed. It was very spacious with the table fitting 12 people. That was nice.

Awesome house and great views

There was a storm and both cars were flooded ( 2019 Infinity Q50, 2014 Cadallic SRX we were stuck and had no where to park was offered a shuttle couldn’t get there roads were flooded to even drive needed a big truck to go through water. We were there for a wedding and due to parking and weather family couldn’t come we rented this place for family and we were stuck there couldn’t go to rehearsal dinner, Wednesday. Family could only come Saturday out of the days due to roads being under water. Rental place nice but tried to help. We wanted to stay Monday-Wednesday and try to have family come and owners would not allow and supposedly already booked. We will come back check the weather for May for a graduation and hopefully we will be able to go and not miss it due to rain, roads underwater, and where to park since the water washers ands floods cars where we were able to park. Also we will be filing a claim on car insurance to see how much damage our cars received and to trade in or sell we will be required to say they were flood and all leather and floors soaked. Missing rehearsal dinner very disappointed since our cars were flooded. After getting unstuck sand trying to park next to(not in their parking space and from Tennessee, couple who rented next to us VERY RUDE). Also for wedding, Friday was late over 2 hours had to find someone to jump off both cars because they were flooded had to walk to 5 houses before receiving assistance and all of us wearing formal dresses and suits all clothes drench in sweat. Just very upset with the owners not assisting us with this rental when money was spent. Also place was not very clean. Master bathroom with bedroom near kitchen had to wipe off dust around the whole tubs with own clean supplies, trash can holder jot on tracks, doors were split with woods being ripped, kitchen counters had to be wiped down when got there dried stuff all over counters by sink and counter in front of windows and last stove top I had to clean. Need to accommodate for parking

We visit Dauphin Island several times each year, and this year decided to invite extended family from to come so we could have Thanksgiving together. This house is very well setup for large groups, including lots of kitchen cookware that is sometimes lacking in rentals. We really appreciated that. There were lots of sleeping options, and everything was clean and well cared for. My only complaint is about parking. They allow only 3 vehicles, which is really difficult for a house that is advertised as sleeping 16. We hadn't been there for more than 15 minutes when we were called by the rental manager about parking (even though we had only 2 cars there at the time and we literally unloading our luggage). Overflow parking is at the center of the island 6 or 8 minutes away.

Ocean Dreams

This is a lovely property and had so many spaces available for our large family. The biggest plus is that the home is so close to the water... literally just steps away from the waves! The waves are close enough to lull you to sleep at night.... such great sleeping! We had a few issues (an air conditioner went out on us) that the property manager handled promptly, and there were a few issues that could not be fixed (the ice maker does not work, the kitchen faucet needs to be replaced, the bath towels are past their prime). The management employees we dealt with were kind, professional, and extremely responsive; I was very impressed with everyone who helped us. The property needs a good deep cleaning; the stove, oven, and kitchen equipment need a lot of attention. Overall, however, we loved our stay and would definitely stay here again. Dauphin Island is a family favorite, and this home has it all.
