Great price, good AC unit (keep room cold).
Very basic. Its a shelf and a bed. Staff is friendly enough, and though dated and right next to the slums it feels pretty safe. The building and decor are seem super old and alot of lights are left off- likely to save the hotel money. There's a simple shop in the lounge where you can buy chips, noodles, water, etc for 10-50 php each. You can also buy personal toiletries like soap here- which is nice since the hotel doesn't include any complimentary items.
If you want a hot shower, soap and shampoo, or something more than just a matress and shelf- it's not for you. Having said that it's perfect for those on a budget.
GV Hotel Davao is clean and very much accessible from and to the seminar venue. It was also located near Davao spots or highlights such as the cathedral, People's Park and Bangkerohan. However, their food service had problems during our stay so most of us decided to just eat somewhere else. Wifi was average but technically good enough. It is a budget friendly hotel so we shouldn't expect much. It is clean and comfortable enough to accommodate us for the conference.
The staff was friendly and professional in fact they were outstanding but the room I was in really sucked I was in room 320 the toilet had no seat and the shower had no hot water what so ever also the tv stopped working after a while
Our stay is quite ok and relaxing somehow but the only thing is that there is no electric socket for charging. Wehave to plug it in on tv socket. Nonetheless our experience is good.
Just the location...service very hotel staff not properly trained, lack of vital info regarding hotel policies etc..
Would not recommend to anyone.....never
Not very good experience. Roaches in the hallway. Very old hotel and not well maintained. Staff not very friendly and no electrical outlets for charging or using. Bathroom not very clean and place was really dark place was noisy and right next to a squatter area. i would not waste my time there again i will check out another hotel.
Good hotel. I did hope there is free brealfast. Also, the aircon needs maintenance. I can also hear noises of splashing water from faucets outside the room every night, kinda creepy.Maybe it is faucets from.other rooms. I doubt if i get privacy with my partner especially that we think we can be heard of from outside the roo đ
This is a 1 star hotel in a 3rd world progressive country. It's cheap, staff are extremely cheerful and helpful. Room is cleaned daily and food is basic but tasty. We had a/c a TV and private rest room and shower. If what your looking for is somewhere to sleep while you explore this amazing island which is safe and cheap with a few extras and good staff then I would recommend this hotel. It's very close to the main centre museum and people's park.
Stayed here for 2 days. The unfriendly clerk gave us a room on the third floor and they had no elevator. When we got to the room, it had no curtains. The pillows were dirty with dust from the air con. They didn't provide any slippers and had no doormat. The floor got constantly wet when you get out of the comfort room. When we checked out, another clerk won't give us a receipt, stating curtly that they don't issue receipts if the room was booked online. I won't book here anymore and I won't recommend this hotel to anybody.
