The one really helpful occasion that I found ,was the Pro Golf shop , when there was a mix up with the use of a golf buggy, , the manager , could not have been more helpful, he was Brilliant. Please thank him very much on my behalf, Mrs P Drury

Should be better

What a shambles. Food was terrible. We had the buffet but I’d never eat there again. Food was cold. Breakfast was mayhem. Only one toaster to the full hotel. Ran out of butter. Not enough staff in the restaurant. Went upstairs after breakfast to finish packing prior to check out & found the chambermaids already cleaning the bedroom with my cases & clothes evident on the bed. I truly have never experienced anything like it. Never saw a single manager all stay.

A lovely location in a quiet rural setting. The hotel was busy with a wedding being held there on each day of our visit. The breakfast was lovely and plentiful. There is plenty of on-site parking and it is free. The only negative points I have are as follows: 1. There is no air conditioning in the rooms. Luckily the temperature had cooled down compared to the previous 4 or 5 weeks of our recent heatwave. Despite the reduction, the room was still uncomfortably warm. 2. There are no fridges in the rooms. 3. Our sink was partially blocked and it took about 5 mins for the water to dissipate. Maybe the cleaning staff should have identified this when cleaning the room?? 4. When we requested Liqueur Coffees at the bar, the barman didn't know how to produce them. Other members of staff told him how it was done but then he told us that the establishment was not a Cocktail Bar. Quite strange as I wasn't aware that a Liqueur Coffee was a Cocktail.

No good if on business

Booked my room through ebookers and the stay was fine. The trouble came when I requested a vat receipt as I was on business. The hotel would not provide one nor would ebookers. I will never use either service again which is a shame because other than that it was fine.

My Opinion

Pros: The staff are the best thing about the hotel.
Cons: The dinner food on offer was terrible,look warm and was very disappointing.The breakfast was very good except the cold fried eggs.
Location: The golf facilities were very good bot the leisure centre was not conveniently situated.
The hotel staff were excellent, helpful and very friendly. T he rooms were clean, tidy and spacious. The wardrobe was large but lacked any drawer facility for general clothes.

Ok hotel

Reception and one of the corridors smelt like an old peoples home it was disgusting Food in the bar was cold, service was rubbish as waiter forgot to put my order in the kitchen!
