Ok, get the hard stuff out of the way: The cable (DSL) and internet were a problem, but no fault of the owner or property managers. Frontier was contacted several times to fix it and it just didn't happen. They were very responsive to our calls nevertheless. This is just part of the Mountains in the Winter!
Now the EASY stuff:
You just can't ask for much better of a location to ski at Timberline! I think it was 10 or 12 steps (as in stairs) to the parking lot and maybe another 20 - 30 paces or so to get onto the flat for the lifts. Not having to lug gear around to ski - priceless.
The condo was beautiful! Clean, inviting, and warm! Warm was very important: Our first day skiing, temps hit a high of 6 degrees, and that's not "C" degrees that is "F" degrees! The linens and beds were very comfortable, even the fold out was reasonable, according the younger one in our group. The dishes, appliances and other kitchen items were in great shape. Note: be careful not to hit the Self-Clean button on the Range. Even if you turn it off, you won't be able to get the oven opened for about 90 minutes. It did not have much of an effect on us, but I would recommend a smaller dining table and more chairs, but we were able to actually take advantage of the large table as we settled in.
Overall, I am looking forward to staying here again! We love Timberline and the area (Canaan Valley, Blackwater Falls, Seneca Rocks, Dolly Sods, etc). I have been bringing my boys to Timberline since they were CubScouts. This is probably the best value and best accommodations we've had! (Ask me about the bunkhouse...) I hope my boys will continue this family tradition and bring their family to Timberline as well!
