A retreat for adults and tweens (8 and up), this home boasts hardwood and stone flooring throughout. Tile showers, granite counter tops, real wood cabinets, floor to ceiling glass facing the slopes and other fine finishes. With all of the hard surfaces and glass barriers, this home is unfortunately not young child friendly. Large refrigerator, wine rack, and kitchen ready for hosting with stainless steal appliances and all the cooking utensils / pots / pans / bowls / etc. you could need. Each room is outfitted with quality soft linens and towels, extra blankets and a window to watch it snow.

For our Spring / Summer / Autumn guests, we are walking distance to Timberline Mountain and a short drive to Canaan Valley Resort so you can easily tap into their events schedule. Our firepit area is perfect for your evening gatherings. You are able to hike into the Dolly Sods, play tennis, fish, golf, and enjoy the outdoors without ever driving more than 3 minutes. You are a short walk away from The Owl Market which boasts wonderful pastries and coffee as well as a beer and wine selection and ice cream service. A short scenic drive and you can enjoy the little towns of Davis and Thomas, as well as Black Water Falls.

For our Winter guests, this home is located in the base area of Timberline Mountain, privately tucked away but just on the edge of the parking lot. 4WD will not be necessary as you will not need to ascend steep local roads to access the driveway. This is a personal home, owned and loved by a couple that works at Timberline Mountain. We will be just a phone call or text away during your stay should you need anything.

Perfect Timberline Ski-in/out spot

We do an annual old friend ski/snowboard trip and this was our first time staying at a spot where you didn't have to drive to the resort. Probably can't go back now because it was awesome being able to walk out the door and be at the lift in 5 minutes. The house is also perfect for couples. We have always had to draw straws for the bunk rooms/rooms with small beds or get bigger houses than we need in the past. This one gives you four great rooms with queens for couples so nobody gets short changed (only had 3 this year). If you had a fifth wheel the glass room would be perfectly comfortable for them. Just a great house; couldn't have asked for better setup or location. The master bath with Jacuzzi tub is interesting with all the windows and no curtains but the more "free spirited" couple loved it just the way it was haha.

Thanksgiving Getaway

My family and I had an absolutely amazing time at Camp 2. The home is furnished beautifully and has everything you need for the perfect vacation. The owners are very responsive if you have questions. They are also very generous, providing paper products, soaps and towels and more for their guests. They also left a bottle of wine and a jar of local honey as a gift. I would definitely recommend this home. I look forward to staying here again.

A great home conveniently located near the lodge

The house had everything we needed to be comfortable and Sarah was so kind answering any questions we had right away. It was great place to stay for ski racing champs with enough quiet nooks for the girls to get homework done between races.

Cozy and Spacious at the same time…

Property was nice, clean and the hosts were great. Short walk to lodge/slopes and enough room for our group of nine (9) that we didn’t feel cramped. Could use some frosted glass windows or blinds on one of the bathrooms and door, but other than that it’s a great place. Wood burning stove was a nice touch in a comfy morning/sitting room. Enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful first time visit to Timberline!

Our family couldn't have been happier with our stay at Sarah and Tom's home right at the base of Timberline Mountain. They responded quickly with all of our questions and the home was very nicely decorated and supplied! We felt welcome as soon as we arrived. So convenient to the slopes!

Cute House So Close to Slopes!

We really enjoyed our stay. The Hosts were very responsive and welcoming. The house is cute and cozy. When we arrived the home was clean and the kitchen and general outfitting was beyond many other rentals we have stayed in. The Hosts left us a lovely note and welcome basket with local information and events. Proximity to slopes: We were a little concerned about the "walk to slopes" aspect, but it turned out to be a fantastic location! The home is situated off of a quiet and secluded road, however the property backs up to the edge of the parking area so you just walk out of the side door and across the parking lot to the lodge (across flat paved terrain). No hills and 5 minutes tops. We would definitely rent this house and/or from these Hosts again.
