The building is older, but great location, awesome pools and patio, and everyone was so nice. I’d give the property/room 5 stars. However, I give the host 0 stars. Check-in was at 3pm, and at 2pm, 2:30pm and 3pm I sent messages about check-in instructions and got no reply. Finally at 3:30pm I called VBRO who had to call the owner and transferred to me. The excuse was “Spring Breakers left a mess and I’m helping the maid clean, it should be ready in an hour”. I understand things happen, but communicate that or at least reply to messages. All I was sent was the room number and keypad code. Every other VBRO I’ve stayed over the years have a binder, paper or email with instructions for the stay. I had no clue how to get on the wireless internet (my three kids couldn’t use their tablets), I didn’t know where the laundry room was (I ended up searching every floor for it), and there was no instructions about check-out (what to do with dishes/trash/laundry/etc). Some hosts even give you insider tips on the best local restaurants and such.
