We liked the place as it was conveniently located across the street from the beach. The communication with salty dog, the group that runs the place, was very good! I was responded to right away with any question or request I had. We loved the use of the beach chairs. We wish the pool would’ve been a little cleaner and there wasn’t a whole lot of silverware. The main TV in the living room was glitchy and we were unable to watch the NCAA March madness games, which was a little disappointing. The grill was a little small, but when it ran out of gas or was close to it, they came out and replaced the tank right away. The basement sink was clogged when we arrived and they responded right away by fixing it. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and liked the place.

We had a good stay overall. The beds were very comfortable, and when we arrived to find the pool overflowing, maintenance showed up within minutes and took care of it right away — great responsiveness.A few things could be improved. Even though we reserved the full property, we only received the access code for the top level initially. We had to reach out for the code to the lower level, and once we received it, the code worked on only one of the doors. Also, the beach chairs were padlocked. If this were a private home, we would have assumed they weren’t for guest use, but given that this is strictly a vacation rental, it was confusing why they weren’t accessible.Parking was available but not ideal. We had a pickup truck and a small SUV, and fitting both was a bit tight.

The house was very clean and conveniently located. It was a great layout for our group and the pool area was nice. Kitchen was well appointed. Communication from the manager was very good and check-in process was very easy. Parking is a little challenging with large vehicles. Would definitely book again when staying in Daytona Beach.

The house was perfect for our large group. 3 couples and 7 kids ages 1-9 years old. Beds for everyone, space to spread out and be together or have privacy. House definitely has its quirks and wear as an older home, but was very clean and spacious. I feel like the convenience to the beach was understated, it was such a short quick walk that running back to grab something was no big deal. We had the beach to ourselves almost the whole time. So many towels, even for our big group. Will definitely keep this on the list of future rentals!

Beach was a short walk across the street. You could see the Ocean from the upstairs windows. Beds were comfortable. The downstairs water pressure was not good but the two showers upstairs were good. Felt like the online description was accurate. We had 9 people from ages 14 to 86 and they all had a great time.

Plenty of room for everyone to spread out

Great property, gave plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The kids loved the pool. And house was well stocked with pool towels, beach toys, and chairs! Parking was tight, but doable. Overall great experience.

Great Daytona Beach location!

This house was perfect for our family get together. It fit the eight of us very comfortably. The location was perfect! Just a short walk to the beach, and close to restaurants and shopping. When we had enough beach time, the beautiful pool was a nice option. The host was very attentive, and communication before and during our stay was great. We would definitely stay here again!

Disappointing but fine

Our family stayed with another family for the weekend since our kids had a volleyball tournament at the Ocean Center. While we could have just stayed at a hotel we rented this house because of the game room and what we thought was a hot tub. We weren’t thrilled with the crazy high booking fee but thought it would be worth it. Well the arcade game didn’t work, there were no darts for the dart game and we were told after check in the hot tub was not a hot tub it was a soaking tub, insert eye roll. Don’t list pictures of things that don’t actually work. The house is fine but don’t book if you are looking to have those extra perks.

Good Enough (???)

Let me start by saying that our stay was a week after Hurricane Milton went through. That said, I did call Monday morning just to confirm that the unit was still available and was checked after the storm went through - I was assured that it had been checked out and everything was good for our Friday arrival. The first problem was that the VRBO map from the app kept directing us to a street over from where the unit was. The rep I spoke to on the phone was extremely nice and gave us precise directions to the unit—it was literally two minutes away from where we were. The first real problem we had was not being able to get into the bottom half of the unit; one couple in our party had to sleep on the upstairs couches the first night. The second problem we had was the pool, and soaking spa were not usable; the pumps weren't working, and there was still debris (I am assuming from the storm) in the pool; essentially, the pool needed to be cleaned, and since the pump(s) weren't working the water was not being circulated - so not at all a usable option. All in all, it was okay. Everyone I dealt with from the company was very nice and did what they could. If it weren't for the storm or I were to stay again and any of the issues occurred, I would probably be asking for at least a partial refund. $2500 for the weekend and not having the unit 100% is pretty disappointing.

Nice beach shack!

The property is older, but please keep that in mind. Super clean everything works beautiful down downstairs with gaming. It was wonderful. I’m a local. I’ve been here my whole life great place to stay look for a little problems that’s gonna be an issue but other than that it was beautiful and super clean. Had the best time.

Great Stay

We had 6 in our group and the house worked out great for us. The place was clean and convenient. We were there for Jeep Beach and the location was perfect. You are across the street from beach access. The pool was great and it’s always fun when you can play some PAC-Man. By no means is the house perfect, but it is perfectly described in the description. Thank you all and we would definitely stay again!!

Really great house!

There were 7 of our family members who stayed in this beach house for 8 days. We loved it! There was plenty of room everywhere in the house. The downstairs can be its own separate place which worked well for us because our daughter and her husband are newly married, so they had privacy when they wanted. The kitchen was fully furnished with everything we needed. There was even a full sized refrigerator in the garage/game room in addition to the one in the upstairs kitchen and the small one in the downstairs living area. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. There were plenty of towels, both for the bathrooms and the beach. There were hair dryers in each bathroom, and a TV in every room except the bedroom with the bunk beds. The closets had plenty of hangers, and each bedroom had plenty of dressers, etc for storage. The house was very nicely decorated. It was obvious that great care had been taken to add so many little things that made the house so cozy. Having our own private pool was amazing! The privacy fence made us feel like we were in our own little world. There are rafts for the pool as well as beach toys and chairs to take to the ocean, which was just across the street. It was nice to be able to check in over the phone and have a code to get in the house, rather than having to have a card or a key to get inside. The people at Salty Vacations were great to deal with. We would most definitely stay at this house again!

This property is great! Awesome location just a short walk across the street to the beach! Owners respond quickly to questions! Pool and hot tub! Parking is complicated but we managed to park 4 vehicles legally instead of just 3. We would definitely rent this property again !!

Perfect house right across the street from the beach. Yes the house is on the older side but it’s perfect if you and family are looking to chill and be close to the beach. The pool with the soaking tub amazing. Perfect view to the water from the kitchen. We would definitely stay again if it’s available. The host are very quick to respond with any questions. We had a perfect stay!

Spring break

Went here for spring break. Salty dog was super helpful, had 24/7 service, and the place is great. This town is probably so much better in the summer. March is not the best for Daytona. Overall house is amazing!

Run down property with cheap owner

Stayed here over Christmas for 4 nights with extended family: 6 adults and 5 teenage kids. Checked in on Christmas Eve: codes we were given were wrong, but after 30 min on phone with Salty Dog we got in. Clearly no one had been over to get the place prepped for stay (owner too cheap to pay for service?). Everything that has a cord was unplugged: tv's in every room, router, microwave, everything. Once everything plugged in - no wifi internet so no TV. Spent an hour on phone at midnight on the night we checked in with no luck. Then reported problem again the next morning for them to file a report - so much for watching football on Christmas. Reported problem again the next morning and someone came out, but we never had television the whole time we were there. Fooseball table in basement, but missing a man and no ball. Cool full size video game in basement - but screen too light to play on it. Had to pay $200 a day if we wanted to heat the pool, so no swimming. So many options for things to do and none worked (except ping pong). Thought surely we would get a nice discount for not having TV our entire stay, but owner offered a 1/2 night stay. What an insult. Could have had a better stay at one of the many budget motels just down the street.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

This was the perfect weekend get-away. We visit year after year for the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona Speedway and always try to make an extended weekend vacation out of it so we can include some beach & relaxation on top of the race. Our accommodations were top notch with everything our three families needed to make this happen. The property is easy to find, very clean - inside and out, and had all the necessities for a home away from home feel (especially with our little ones). Beds were very comfortable and the pool area surpassed our expectations. The short walk to the beach was ideal with all beach gear available and ready to roll. Highly recommend this rental!! We will definitely be back to visit soon!

Great spot for a large group

Overall a great place to stay with a large group looking to bounce around the Daytona area and partake in the local nightlife. There was plenty of space for all guests and the pool area was great to relax by. It is within reasonable walking distance to some of the Daytona Beach attractions like the downtown area of bars and restaurants. If not within walking distance, the property was located right on the main drag which made it easy for driving or ride share pick up. And the beach was right across the street. Only knocks when it comes to the property was the water pressure, and it is tough to keep it perfectly clean as you’ll find in most oceanfront beach towns. The management was great, super responsive, and making sure we were all set with everything we needed.
