My cousins and I enjoyed exploring this part of the Upper Peninsula as it was an area we have yet to visit. The porch was lovely to sit on and enjoy our chats and to watch the sunrise. It has a nice view of the passageway. It was fun to watch all the large shipping barges go by along with the ferry to and from Drummond Island. The boat docks were nice to visit too. The only thing was there was no air conditioning which made some of our nights challenging to get through comfortably. But overall we would recommend this place to others. Gary, the owner, was very nice and easy to work with when we needed his help with a slight bathroom issue.
The property was quaint and spacious and the location provided beautiful views and easy walking access to several smaller stores that had anything that may be necessary for a vacation. The home was well stocked with everything and anything, which made you feel at home. Would stay here again.
We didn't have to bring a thing. All the household necessities are there. We pretty much just brought our clothes and some food. We love the property! I especially love the little guest house in the back! I would like it for a little art studio on my property.
This property was in a perfect location to explore the town and the area, with local venues in walking distance. And the house was perfectly supplied with everything we needed! Excellent experience for our group of two couples.
We really enjoyed our stay. I got a text from the owner in which he stated that we left fish guts in the dumpsters. I phoned him and informed him that I personally cleaned all fish at the fish cleaning station in town. We did NOT leave guts in his dumpsters. We are proud of the way we left the property. I am waiting for a return call from Mr. Dudek.
Very quiet little town. Great front porch for watching the freighters and ferry to Drummond island. Big open kitchen with table for eating or games.Friendly hosts, took us to an area to see the Northern lights. the
The house was comfortable. The kitchen had everything you would need to cook your meals. The view of the St. Marys river was worth staying in De Tour Village. Had a wonderful time.
Beautiful home with phenomenal view of St. Mary's River. Huge wrap-around porch to watch freighters gracefully gliding by. Home was very clean and spacious and had everything imaginable supply wise. Communication with owner was excellent. We look forward to coming back!
We loved staying in this house. We spent a lot of time on the front porch, watching the freighters and ferries on the river. Great location in the village, we could walk to restaurants, Pickleball courts or down to the marina. The dining room is also a very nice feature with lots of windows so you can watch the boats while youâre eating if itâs too cold to eat outside. Lots of activities nearby, including hiking and fishing, as well as visiting Drummond Island and nearby towns like Cedarville.
The kitchen was well equipped and thoughtfully stocked with herbs and spices as well as pots, spans and small appliances. We had a very comfortable bed in the master bedroom on the first floor. Both bedrooms on the first floor, had ceiling fans, but the upstairs Bedrooms did not have ceiling fans and they got stuffy even with daytime highs in the mid 70s.
It would be nice if there was a bathroom upstairs so people donât have to come downstairs during the night. Some of us use the bathroom in the basement for showers.
This property was a perfect for for our 3 generation adventure in the Eastern UP. The views from the covered porch were so good, and comfortable. The Unit was clean and well appointed. Our day trips were fun and easy with this home base to look forward to. Highly recommend this place and the relaxed vibe in this area.
