Beautiful location basic hotel

The location is beautiful and hiking to waterfalls amazing. We stayed two nights for the beauty of the canyon and that gets a 10. The wedding tents on the front lawn definitely takes away from the appearance of the lodge. Never could get a good picture. Rooms are basic. The one restaurant makes you drive to town to eat or bring your own. Fireplace in lobby beautiful. Spearfish canyon is beautiful and worth seeing

Exploring Spearfish Canyon

We came to explore Spearfish Canyon. We drove the canyon several times, hiked three trails, relaxed in our room and had a delicious dinner at Latchstring Inn Restaurant. One of our favorite stops on our trip.

Loud wedding I was not made aware of until a few hours from arrival driving in from 8+ hours away. Loud dog barking all night. Left at 11pm to get some sleep, all hotels in surrounding area sold out. Ruined our vacation completely as we ended up driving home this night.

You can’t beat another lodge

This place is ALWAYS a rememberable experience! We just love Spearfish Canyon Resort and the drive into and from. You literally cannot beat the experience… I kid you not! Only wish - more food/munchie options after 9pm.

The lodge was in a beautiful location surrounded by wildlife. Staff did not provide a ground floor room as requested for my elderly parents which made for a long week.

Wonderful place, we'll be back

It was an amazing experience! The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Very knowledgeable about the trails and hiking spots. We arrived early to park and take our side by side for the day. They allowed us to that, helpful telling us where to park. There is an up scale restaurant across from the lodge with an amazing view off the back. On the second floor they offer hot tubs .. which were a big hit with the kids. The water falls around there are stunning

What a great place! Beautiful location, perfect for exploring, trails and waterfalls close by, very good restaurant across the street. Very comfortable and super clean.
