This property was the perfect site for a night in the woods. We did have some trouble with the hot tub as the water was bath water temperature. The 3 of us enjoyed our stay there very much. Thank you.
Cozy place! very comfortable bed. the neighbors are close so sometimes were loud (probably sometimes without really realizing it.) but overall very nice!
The cottage had all the basic necessities. It was incredibly quiet and peaceful at night and the hot tub was very therapeutic after a long day of hiking. The location was very convenient to travel to the Park. Also, there are two places within walking distance for coffee and breakfast sandwiches or pastries, or dinner in the evening. We didnât even cook anything during our stay even though the kitchen was well stocked.
Mountain was amazing and the cabin was great!!! The bed was so comfy and we can barely ever say that when staying away from home, lol. Wish we could have used the hot tub but the neighbors at the other place were super loud, it wasn't the best hot tub environment. That was it though.... Everything else was fabulous!!
My wife and I had a great stay at this cottage. It is around other houses, but far enough away that we never noticed them plus it backs up to the woods. The hot tub out back was great. We had no problems with the wifi, we were able to stream movies on the tv. The location is great, is only 5-10 minutes to the horseshoe bend trail and only about 2 hours to Diablo lake and other sights on highway 20 in the North Cascades National Park. There also was a general store within walking distance called Grahams, but we never stopped by.There was plenty of room for the 2 of us, it might be a little crowded for more than 2 people. They had what we needed, towels, cups, plates, toaster, pizza cutter, condiments in the fridge. Overall it was a good place to get away for a few days.
The "operative word" is RUSTIC. For a primitive/rustic place to stay, it was fairly good. It was definitely old with a lot of "jerry-rigging" with the electrical circuits that I doubt would meet code. Many switches & outlets that didn't work. Whereas it was spacious with a comfortable bed in a big family room - but with poor lighting. Heat via a small space heater. Shower was RV size small. Few supplies, but many containers were actually empty. "Emergency lights" didn't work. No dishwasher. Outdoor hot tub was in the woods & nice once you removed the weathered cover & climbed the mossy steps. The washer & dryer were in a small, beatup & dirty shed. The actual machines were okay, but the owners had left a full load of wash in the dryer - which we had to remove before using it. As a RUSTIC cabin in a remote location without many services, it was "okay" (3.6/5) If it was in an urban area, it would get a 2/5. Note: From when we first arrived until now, the owners have been trying to get us to give it a "5" ( NO WAY).
My husband and I stayed at the Cozy Rustic cabin for four nights while working an event up at Mt. Baker. We LOVED our stay here, as the cabin is comfortable, is stocked with everything you need plus some, is walking distance to Grahams, clean, and quiet. Also, owners add in home-y and thoughtful touches throughout. We looked forward to coming home every night to relax in the hot tub and felt that the area was extremely private with beautiful scenery. If you enjoy rustic stays and donât need a fancy home, this cabin is PERFECT. We hope to rent again for next year!
My college age daughter and I enjoyed our two nights at this rustic retreat in Glacier near Mt. Baker. We enjoyed the hot tub and appreciated that the kitchen was pretty well stocked with supplies. The host provided excellent detailed instructions that made it easy to find this cute little cabin. We would happily stay again.
This cottage was so cute and snuggled all cozy in the woods. The hot tub and fire pit was a huge a hit for the evening. Highly recommend to anyone needing a quiet getaway from the busy hustle of life!!
My friend and I stayed here for one night while exploring the Mount Baker highway and this was a great location to stop. The cabin was conveniently located near Grahamâs and Wake nâ Bake, clean, we had all the things you could think of needing, and we were given clear instructions how to find the place with ample warning for there being no service in the cabin. 10:10!
The property is very private and quiet, but is only a two minute walk from the pub. There is a stunning river a short distance away which you can hear from the cabin. This is the perfect base for exploring the Mt Baker area, and the bed was huge and comfortable. Thank you!
