Overall I was very disappointed in my stay at Catbird. First, I had to pay about $20 extra for an ADA accessible room, which seems inherently wrong and it was not adequately accessible. There was a very tall bathtub and no grab bars in the bathtub area so I was not able to take a shower for the two days I was there.
Your information on Expedia did not include the information on the additional $30 per day amenity fee, so that was a surprise.
I also do not enjoy the lack of human interaction and having the only option be self check-in. That was incredibly frustrating, especially since I came in with full arms and no place to set my things down but needed to both hands to be able to complete the registration.
There was no coffee available in the room. There was the supplies for pour over coffee, but no actual coffee. This was frustrating since I was on the 6th floor and the farthest away from the lobby elevator. It was not a quick trip to run down and grab coffee in the lobby.
The towels in the bathroom were threadbare and had strings from the towels hanging off of them.
I was also frustrated that the bar was not open and it was not noted when I got my reservation email.
Had I known these things before, I would not have chosen to stay there and I will not stay there again.
