I was not able to stay at this hotel. We arrived for check-in only to be told all reservations were canceled. She wouldn't even take my name to check. It was 1am and I had my children with me. There was a lady at the counter spreading bills all over, undoubtedly to get a room. But the neighborhood did not look safe. Was not well lit and smells awful. She turned us away and told me if I had prepaid it was non-refundable. What an absolute joke.

Disgusting property!

We had a reservation. We got the key and went to the room. No towels. We went to the desk where we were told they were fully booked and had maybe sent someone to buy more. We said to cancel our reservation and NOT charge a cancellation fee. Windham should be ashamed to have theirname on this property.

Worst hotel ever

This is the worst, unclean and terrible hotel my family and I have ever been too. My kids are literally traumatized by this experience. Whenever we drive passed a Baymont my 9 year old will tell me he never ever want to go to any other Baymont in general. This place is very dirty, terrible customer service, filthy and stink, spider web every where, faucet broken do there was no way to take a shower, dirty beddings etc.

Room was not ready when we arrived 1 hour after check in. Could not get a receipt because the room we were assigned to the previous guest left with out paying. We had to pay cash because their internet was done. Do to weather the tv reception went out. Will not ever stay there again.

Not a good hotel

My trip started with a 30 minute wait to check in due to no staff at the desk One person in my line called the police -not sure having to wait warranted that-the police came but left quickly Welcome to the Baymont North-Des Moines When given my room—I found it was not cleaned The staff gave me another room at the Super 8 behind the Baymont-yikes Smelled like smoke Cob webs in the corners Bed bugs under my mattress They were out of towels- I had to use a sheet off one of the beds to towel off The next day I received my cleaned Baymont room Again no towels The staff said they were out-the nice cleaning person found an empty room and I received 1 bath and 1 wash cloth from there The cleaned room had mold in the bathroom corners and tub Yellow stains around toilet base caulking My deadbolt did not engage-the swing lock was missing and the chain lock was rigged in place The fitness room door did not open I chose this hotel partly so I could do laundry -the units did not work Breakfast was food Coffee was served in plastic dixie cups I received 1 fresh bath towel on day 3 of my stay To be fair The staff was overwhelmed and overworked They were as nice as possible but they had to say I am sorry a lot to many people besides me The grounds were a mess Outdoor pool- filled with green water The roof was patched with a blue tarp in one area and brown in another Some areas had 10ft of siding missing with exposed walls I compared the online photos to reality-It is false advertising

They are severly understaffed. Manager was working 12 to 16 hours a day. Didn't get towels for the first 24 hours. We had to buy towels to shower. Whoever owns this motel needs a swift kick in the ass.

Worst experience at Wyndham

From the very beginning it was a bad experience. The check in girl made a joke she was trying to make money and had us on TikTok live. I was not happy with this. The reservation was already made and paid for but she was slow and could not find it. The room was dirty, bathroom horrible. The door would not lock as it was put on wrong. The room smelled like mold and smoke. The breakfast was non existent. I was not happy with the whole experience. We came to town for a football game and got a better hotel with Wyndham but it was as if we were staying at a super 8. I will not be back to this location and hope no one else is either.

This hotel is connected to what appears to be an abandoned restaurant on top of a super 8 connection as well. They had 1 or 2 staff members for both hotels. The parking lot is filthy, with a scissor lift sign pointing to the strip club behind the parking lot. Went to check in and they had no rooms available and their internet was down. The lady at the front was very nice about it and I could tell she was very stressed. Windows were cracked, holes in ceiling, sheets had makeup stains and other stains. Anyways, I couldn’t check in and Expedia couldn’t process the return until the hotel notified them. Two days after and 4 phone calls to Expedia, baymont wouldn’t respond to emails and not answer the phone. Expedia finally agreed to refund.

The listing is very deceiving...property is dirty broken window on building entrance boarded over and painted black.....no wifi....tried calling desk for an hour nobody ever answered. Pool was supposed to be open and desk said one hour they were "filling" pool... waited an hour so my son could swim....after an hour was told another 2 hours....we decided to just leave. Save the headache and pay an extra 30 bucks for a real hotel room. Terrible experience.

When I arrived and got to my room, it had clearly not been cleaned. The woman working did everything she could to make it right. Breakfast was less than mediocre, and there were bugs crawling on the counter. The selection was very limited. The next day, the “ manager“ worked and her whole attitude and demeanor was absolutely rude and unprofessional. There was no Wi-Fi our entire stay (4nights) then the second day the cable went out so no TV and breakfast was put away early. Overall, I would never stay here again between the cleanliness and disorganization of my check-in down to how rude the manager was when concerns were brought to her attention.

Unfortunately nothing to like. Toilet was plugged, phone system didnt work had to go to front desk to get another room. 2nd room was not made up, full of dirty linens. Third room was acceptable, but dirty and smelled pf smoke. TV does not work.
