The staff makes this a great place to stay

The one downside was there are only two handicap parking places. Definitely the upside was the two lovely ladies that work the front desk. They were fun to talk to, laugh with and they showed concern for my daughter who was recovering from ankle surgery. Yes, the beds were comfortable. Yes the room felt safe and offered relaxation. But it is BECAUSE OF THEM I will consider staying here again. We had my other daughter's small dog staying with us. They loved on her and were excited ( along with a friend's daughter) to see her daily. Maple was also looking for them and was overjoyed to see them everytime we came down for a potty break. They were an excellent representation of how this hotel felt more like coming home, home to neighbors that made you feel welcome and included. Everytime we seen them they were cleaning or refreshing the place. Their dedication to service was marvelous. I know if Maple stays there again, she will be looking for their attention.

Check-in was simple but the staff was as not friendly. There was a slight musty odor to the room and not enough towels. There were also 3 black pubic hairs in the shower, I quickly removed them before my husband went in the bathroom. I never expect perfection but that is gross. The bed was ok for comfort, I liked the 5 pillows.

Health Hazzard doesn't begin to describe here

Disgusting hotel. The room was 85 degrees when I walked in. Immediately smelled of mildew. The sheets felt sticky. There was mold throughout the shower. The show was dripping wet like someone just finished bathing, there were fingernails on the carpet. The refrigerator was plugged into the lamp because they're was no outlets available. The walls has something brown and sticky caked on them. I went to Walmart and purchased cleaning supplies and air freshener because I was told there was no rooms to be had due to the state fair was going on and I was there for a funeral so proximity was key.

buddhist presence

Christians should know that buddha is represented at the front desk and sounded like eastern prayer music coming from the office. I am not saying ownership/staff don't have a right to express their religious ideals, only that Christians should know that buddhist influence is apparent. Room was a bit musty smelling. Otherwise a decent experience.

It was a good hotel for a short stay before getting up early to head to the Iowa State Fair to show. Accommodated our dog, was definitely a no-frills economy option.

While I didn’t eat from the breakfast, there was no coffee, the AC ran constantly and didn’t cool the room much, the back door didn’t lock so anyone could come inside at any hour. The room was good, minus the AC.

The rooms were pretty dirty. Stains on the walls, we found a bug in our bed, hair in the tub etc. overpriced for the state the hotel is in. I wouldn’t eat the breakfast food because everything was so dirty. Nice staff but that was about the only positive thing I have to say sadly.

Not again don’t take kids!

We had holes in box spring, bathroom vent falling off, scared for my toddler seeing as head board almost fell on him and they blamed a 21 month old child, mirror fell off wall and almost landed on my son, had to ask for more towels and when so was told to take down my own dirty towels for fresh, they did not gather trash, I was not impressed at all very rude staff unclean environment
