Good maintenance, bad counter gal

I'm not a complainer...When we checked in the hotel we went up to discover the AC wasn't working in her room. Wife went down to the counter and talked to the gal and she offered no solutions. Finally, my wife asked if there were any other rooms she could get moved to and that was met with a no. After hearing no to a new room she asked the counter gal if there was a maintenance person that could look at it. She said there was a person but that she couldn't call him because they didn't have a phone number. She then said maintenance would have to look at the AC unit. Eventually the gal got ahold of the maintenance person who was very apologetic but said he couldn't fix it and went and told the gal. She still wasn't going to move us even after the maintenance guy said the room was unsleepable. To end this, after the maintenance guy suggested we move to the room he just ended up fixing, she reluctantly allowed us to move to the 'better' room (it had a recliner) :( Thank you to the maintenance guy!

Very nice place to stay. Really there was nothing wrong, I just save 5 star reviews for exceptional places. We were tired after a hot day at the fair and decided to stay in town. Hotel was clean, staff was pleasant. Overall it was exactly what we were looking for.

This was my first time staying at a MyPlace Hotel. I loved that I had a stove top, full size fridge, microwave in my food that allowed me to bring my own food and cook. It saved me a lot of money on eating out. Nice staff, clean rooms. I had an issue with my door but I got it to work. No complaints

We had a great one-night stay, the staff was very friendly and welcoming and the room was spacious with a decent kitchen setup. The only issue we had was that there was some hair underneath the extra blanket on the bed which was gross, but overall it was a good stay!
