We have never stayed in a My Place Hotel before and we were pleasantly surprised! LOVED this place. The front desk was amazingly friendly, beds were super comfortable, and we enjoyed it very much! No continental breakfast but everything else was terrific! Highly recommend.

The room was exceptionally clean! The place itself looks great, quiet, and has plenty of parking. It is conveniently located near all major roads, with Walmart and IHOP a 2-minute drive away and plenty of good dining options around.

Great hotel...juat dont stay next to stairs

Staff was friendly and checked us in an hour early which I really appreciated. The hotel is very outdated and there's no breakfast available, which i knew before. It was very clean and taken care of though. My only issue was staying in 201 in the very end of the hall next to the stairwell. People were in and out all night and everytime it shook my bed, startling me awake. That was my only issue.

We recently stayed for a week-long competition in Des Moines. The General Manager was extremely professional, accommodating, and most importantly, friendly. She spent time talking with us and even asked the students how their competition was going. Could not recommend a stay here enough.

It's fine and affordable. We saw debris on the hallway carpet when we checked in at 3:00pm and it was still there the next morning. We had to wait a bit for someone to come to the front desk. I do find the concept of not including any kitchen utensils bizarre. Who, other than RVers, travels with kitchen items? They are all for sale in the lobby.

Service was decent overall. However, our experience was affected by two issues: the room keys didn’t initially work, and using the iron caused a short circuit in the room. I think the price is a little high as well.
