Family trip

The place was clean and wonderful. We loved that the beach was right out our patio and had great views. So much better than a huge high-rise resort. The beach was beautiful and the kitchen worked well for what we needed. Would definitely come back. The front desk staff was super helpful. The only issue was that the pull out sofa bed seemed to be broken as the head part would not stay in the upright flat position but wanted to sink to the ground. The front office said they would look into fixing it. We made it work by pulling the mattress out and onto the floor each night.

Reviewer Comments: This is the second year we have stayed in the exact condo for a family vacation; we really enjoyed the ease it offered being so close to the beach and a full kitchen for meal preparation. We cooked in most days and saved a ton of money on food that way. Our young daughter loved the bunk beds and also spent a lot of time on the electric recliner chair! The couch was very noisy - it has a pull-out bed, and it just squeaked with every move. It also is not very comfortable. Overall, though, the condo was clean and ready early for our stay. We loved being able to hit the beach and quickly run back to the condo to fix lunch. Additionally, the chair and umbrella dedication for each room was really nice - always had a spot on the beach! The master bedroom was pretty comfortable, but it did get hot in the room, even with turning the a/c down. A ceiling fan or tower fan for this room would have been greatly appreciated! We may make this trip an annual thing, and we will definitely consider this condo again - definitely will book at Destin Beach Club in alternative room, if our ā€œregularā€ isnā€™t available!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo we rented isn't well-equipped for snowbirds. It needs an upright dresser for clothes. There is only a very small closet the clothes in the bathroom. Thereā€™s no storage for travel bags, no closet for sweeper. I had to buy a wet swifter type mop for routine cleaning. The vinyl floors showed scuff marks from chairs, impossible to clean the scuffs. The inside of the side tables need drawers smell of mildew. The kitchen cabinet coverings are peeling. Snowbirds cook more and the kitchen isnā€™t well-equipped for that. The knives were the dullest. I had to purchase 2 skillets. The bed linens are cheap and need upgrades. If returning I would not stay in this condo. Overall, the location is great; the staff and maintenance staff are very good, professionally managed, clean.

This condo was extremely clean and beautifully decorated. The beach was perfect. We love Destin Beach Club because it only has the 45 rentals and all beach chair set ups have a full beach front view of the gulf. No rows and rows of people. We will be back and room 201 has been one of the best rooms yet!! Several restaurants are within walking distance.
