We rolled in around 10:30pm (weather delays plus dinner with four kids had us behind schedule) and thankfully my husband was awake enough to read the instructions on opening the gate by headlight. The second we opened the front door we were immediately hit with a blast of much welcomed cold air. Michael had turned the thermostat down for us remotely so the house was nice and cold, and great for sleeping. We got all the kids settled for the night and carted in our belongings like pack mules. As many trips as we made, the house stayed cold even as we were running in and out.I reached out the next morning asking questions about the oyster house down the road and even though he didn’t know the answer to my question, Michael was quick to offer me some additional places to purchase fresh, local seafood. The house was appointed wonderfully. Plenty of pillows and blankets, towels and board games, even some unexpected kitchen items! We knew beforehand what was offered by way of “beach equipment”. I had reached out a few days prior. With each question he was prompt to reply and extremely helpful with each response. The one thing that surprised me the most was that the hot water heater lasted long enough for seven people (four kids, three adults) to get a hot shower! We are already planning a return trip back and can’t wait to stay again. The location is phenomenal. The town is great. I couldn’t have picked a better place to stay.
