The breakfast was amazing. The room was fantastic with a massive bath and really comfortable bed.
The surrounding area is beautiful.
Now for the uncomfortable honesty of a well travelled country Inn man.
We were greeted on arrival by a lovely lady on who showed us to our room and made us feel very welcome. We stayed 2 nights and the Griday night was lovely... until...
We and the rest of the guests were woken at the crack of dawn around 6 in the morning... the alarms going off which persisted for roughly 40 minutes before someone turned up to turn the alarm off. We all stood outside early autumn wondering what was going on. No one seems to stay on site at night.
That evening when going for a prebooked dinner, no reference or apology was given. We questioned it, and apparently it was ladybirds?! It had happened before?!
Location great, rooms great. Evening meal was average for a special dish.
Sadly we won't be returning due to the manager?! Not sure really who is was. The rest of the staff were great.
Beautiful and comfortable country inn, with loads of charm. Staff are very friendly and welcoming, bed and pillows very comfortable and food amazing!
Would happily stay again!
This was the second time that we have stayed in this lovely old pub and our experience was just as good as on our first visit.
The food at both dinner and breakfast was excellent and the service from Matt and his team is as good as youâll find any pub in the UK.
The village of Plush is charming but very small and rather remote so donât any night life!
Super hyggeligt stede i en mini by.
Fantastic stay here, enjoying gorgeous food in what was a beautiful location. The staff were especially brilliant and we really appreciated how caring and attentive they were.
We had an event in the area and stayed here for 1 night. Check in was quick and friendly. Was shown personally to our room. Food onsite was amazing ! Wi-Fi is fast and is critical as no signal in the area (Nothing the hotel can do about that) :) Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone !
Really enjoyed our stay at the Brace of Pheasants. A down to earth but high quality pub and restaurant serving delicious food and real ale from casks behind the bar. As a guest we had use of a downstairs lounge which was lovely to relax in. Breakfast was delicious, focused mainly around the traditional English with bread and granola if desired. Plenty of walks in the area and would definitely stay again.
I loved it here. Its quaint and in such a peaceful location. All the staff were very friendly and well suited for people facing roles. Planty of tea, coffee, bottled water and biscuits in the room. You do have to duck your head on the stairs but this building is old and has so much history. My favourite part was the bed! It was like sleeping on a cloud and i even managed to sleep slightly later than i should have. I also loved the shower, it was so deep and has steps to access it, so not for anyone with any mobility difficulties. The only negative was the strange smell, but i did get used to it and everything else made up for it. I'd definitely return and would recommend. Many thanks.
Very warm welcome, really good customer service. The rooms were spacious and well equipped, the tea, biscuits and Nespresso machine were very welcome. Food was excellent and the bar was very friendly. Cannot recommend enough, it is a pretty thatched pub in a very quiet hamlet.
This a delightful if very remote pub with a superb restaurant in a quintessential little Dorset village. Highly recommended for foreign tourists who want a genuine English pub experience.
