Lovely old hotel in gorgeous village

Pros: Lovely feel and design, the history, dinner (see above), breakfast (smoked salmon and scrambled eggs).
Cons: Can't think of a thing!
Location: Old abbey porch, wishing well, church, medieval houses, Cerne Abbas Giant (viewing point up the hill). Minterne Gardens & lunch on the terrace if dry
The hotel and village have lots of history but the hotel interiors are reassuringly modren and well-designed! We stayed one night to celebrate our birthdays. Dinner was wonderful, especially the gruyere souffle - great combination of flavours - and the bouillabaise, which was amazing. The room was very nice and the bed very comfortable. We were made very welcome.

Very nice small hotel with good restaurant.

Pros: The furnishing, the comfort, the restaurant and the staff were all excellent.
Cons: The only problem was that the mattress on the pullout bed was not at all comfortable.
Everything was well appointed, clean and comfortable. We had a very nice two day stay and excellent food in the restaurant.
