Arrival is via a meandering woodland drive opening into a peaceful glade, where the property rises from the southern slopes of Leith Hill and commands sweeping views reaching the South Downs 20 miles away. Nearby, set off for Holmbury Hill (2 miles) to soak up big-sky scenery, then wander through Leith Hill (1.5 miles) with its mix of woodland, heath and farmland, and open access land on Wotton and Abinger Commons. National Trust gems abound, including Abinger Roughs, Hatchlands, and Netley Park (4 miles), where ancient trees shelter wildflower-strewn clearings, and Denbies Hillside (7 miles), a dramatic chalk escarpment. Golfers will love the scenic course (8 miles), and plant lovers will enjoy a trip to RHS Wisley (14 miles).
