Communication was excellent, Cottage 5 was very clean and comfortable (we had 8 staying there). We did not cook or grill at the cottage, but we did use the fire pit, very comfortable. The lake access to Little Crooked Lake was close by (across a private road) & the sand beach area was clean & clear.
This cottage is right in the middle of Sister Lakes and was a perfect spot for us when visiting family on round lake. The grounds are great, AC was a huge plus, and the property manager was quick to answer questions.
It starts off at a good rate per night then they add the cleaning fee
The booking fee
The guest fee
The damage waiver fee
The service Fee
And the tax
Before itâs over with your short stay just doubled in price. I called and tried to cancel, hours later and they need 30 days notice. Well the reservation was made within 30 days of travel. They say up to 10 people but they charge you for each additional guest over two. Our three sons cost us and extra $120 over a four day period. I didnât stay there, never went and they wouldnât even refund the cleaning fee, to clean what!!!! Itâs a ripoff and not even close to a lake. First year, in the past fifteen years, that we didnât spend Thanksgiving with family!!!!!
When we first arrived, there was a horrible sewage smell coming from the back bedroom and bathroom. It was so bad that it was difficult to stay in the cottage. We tried opening the window in that room but there was a hole in the screen that let bugs in. There was no central air; just portable window units. I contacted the property manager regarding both issues. They sent a plumber the next day and texted a solution to the central air problem. Apparently, there are limited outlets and it was plugged in incorrectly. As far as the plumbing, the plumber shoved a paper towel in the exposed pipe and tried to fix the leak in the bathroom but it was not resolved. The smell did get better with the paper towel trick and the rest of the time was OK. The cottage was nice, spacious and a short walking distance to Driftwood.
We have family on the lakes so it was so nice to come back to our own oasis and not sleep on someoneâs couch. 3 bedrooms meant I had plenty of room for my teenage children and a tv in each so no fighting. The common space in front of the cottage was so inviting and yet you were not too close to the others. Quick walk to the coffee/ice cream shop, a local landmark! This cottage fulfilled all our needs. We will be back!!
We rented the cottage for a family vacation. It was a comfortable fit for two adults and three kids. We did have a few basic issues - one burner on the stove was out, the Wi-Fi didnât work in the bedrooms and we had an AC issue the last night. That being said, the property manager was super quick to respond and was very helpful! We enjoyed our stay.
We were out for a Roller Derby tournament but decided to stay outside the big cities. This cottage was the perfect little getaway. It rained the one day we had to explore so we didn't get to do a whole lot but it was nice to just sit and relax.
This place was great. Great location to visit wineries. Owner was quick to respond! The place was clean, easy to park and you could walk to the lakes. We sat out in the evening and enjoyed the fire pit. We would definitely stay again!
We took a chance on this cabin, because when we booked there were no reviews. It was great! The owner was very responsive with any questions I had prior to arrival. A few days before arrival, the property management company reached out with up to date info and a phone number to contact them with any questions or needs. When we needed anything they were on top of it! This Recently Updated, 3bdr house was great for my family of 5. Perfect size cottage, and clean. (If you have littles who require a high chair, just be aware all the table seatingâs are bars w stools and itâs not sturdy enough to attach a clamp on style hair chair). The house is perfectly located right by all 3 lakes. It has lake access to little crooked lake. Itâs not lake front, you have to go behind the cottages and cross a âdrivewayâ to get to the lake. It is zero depth water entrance, which was ideal for my littles, and a sandy bottom. We were lucky to have several days by ourselves in the water. Keep in mind there are 7 cottages that share this access, so you will not necessarily have the space to yourself. We also had our own fire pit and private patio behind the house.
This was a great little cottage for my family of 5, with 4 little kids ages 9 and under. My boys especially loved the nice TVs on the walls in each bedroom. The beds were comfortable, and kitchen was stocked well for us. It isn't big, but it was perfect for us! We'd stay again!
