I booked a triple twin for 3 people and the hotel changed my booking to a Double Double bed room type with large sf and a cot. Cot was uncomfortable and room was too small. Hskpg did well to get us towels, pillows bedding.

Wonderful bar open late. Room very small. Could not open suitcases anywhere except on the bed or the floor. If opened on the floor, couldn’t walk through the room. Bed against wall on 3 sides, so difficult for the person against the wall to get in and out of bed. Otherwise hotel is conveniently located and beautifully decorated. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast very good.

Staff was great. The love the lobby and general atmosphere. So close to temple bar, but not load even on the street side.(5th floor). Central to everything! So glad I chose this hotel as part of my stay.

I had an excellent stay at The Mercantile. The room was lovely, and the whole hotel was brand new! The bar was magnificent and truly beautiful. Ok so now about the food… the food in the Mercantile restaurant was INCREDIBLE! I work in the industry and I don’t say that lightly. From the amazing scones and pastries to the delicious Eggs Royale, the full Irish Breakfast was spot on. I really appreciated how they cooked the rashers where they flipped the tails under and so the lean bit formed a nice cup. The puddings were also excellent and the eggs cooked perfectly. For dinner the Pithivier is not to be missed!!! With the marrow gravy that I could literally drink. I had the scallops and scotch egg as well for starters and they were both excellent. They also served the starters with toasted sourdough, which almost stole the show. In summary if you want a great place to stay that is right in the middle of everything and you enjoy great food and drink in a stylish setting look no further. I will definitely be back!!!

Very nice boutique style property!

Top notch hotel! Front desk service, friendly, professional, efficient. The room was impeccable- spotless, and high quality materials were used in the bathroom and primary room. Good location and quiet room resulting in a good night’s sleep.
