Loved the location at this hotel. Walking distance to everything. We had 2 all day tours booked on 2 days and the tours met at different locations. We were able to easily walk to both of them from the Wellington. So many bars and restaurants! It’s like Nashville in the US. It’s above a bar -so night life lasts a long time. We had to keep our window open because the air conditioner wasn’t working. Staff said someone was coming in a few days to fix it. They gave us a fan - but we would have preferred a discount on room. It was pretty stuffy in there and with the windows open - it was pretty loud- even at 2am. If the air conditioning worked/ we would have closed the windows and it would have been fine. Good breakfast but starts too late. Most excursions leave before 7:30/ when the breakfast starts. It should start at 6 or have a “to go” option for people who need to meet a bus by 6:30! Maybe pastries or breakfast sandwiches to go?? Staff was super friendly. I would have given 5 stars but breakfast and air conditioning was a problem.
Biggest issue is cleanliness; toilet is filthy, shower dirty, linens stained. No opening windows. Looks like the shower door broke so the solution was just remove it so impossible to shower without soaking the entire bathroom. Don't get me wrong the location is fantastic but for the rates asked much better off going to one of the Aparthotels in the area.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Very helpful and friendly staff. Central location with easy access to the most interesting parts of the city. Very tiny rooms and the noise of the pub didn’t allow us to fall asleep.
We had an amazing stay here. Our flight got in super early but they were able to hold our bags until we checked in at 3:00. Both rooms were clean and roomy. The location could not have been more central to all the things of Dublin.
As a solo female traveler from the US I felt very safe. The staff was very accommodating and gave me a lot of great tips about the area. I stayed in a single room with a window. It had a twin bed with a desk and chair. The bathroom was standard but nice. The room was very clean. It had a safe where I could lock up my passport. Downstairs from the hotel was a bar that played music late until the night and could be heard from the room. There is also a bar next door and the nightlife is booming. It's like being at a hotel on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. So if you don't like late night music and noise this is not for you. The famous Temple Bar is just behind the hotel and plenty of other bars and restaurants. Many major sights are within walking distance.
I would recommend this hotel.
In the heart of Temple Bar ! Very convenient for walking or catching a bus to anywhere in Dublin. Breakfast was amazing ! The restaurant host Dave is a great guy and a real asset to the hotel and dining experience.
