We both loved the property. The house is in a perfect location and the starry nights were just wonderful. We really enjoyed the fire pit/table, sitting out on the cold evening enjoying a hot chocolate, and watching the stars and fire.
The driveway and entry ways were a challenge, requiring 90 minutes of shoveling to clear the stairway and driveway gate. I call that part of the charm.
The steep driveway was a challenge. Backing up is impossible without chains and backing down is impossible, so I had to do an 11-point turn on the flat portion of the driveway. This resulted in occassionally backing into the snow banks, clogging my tailpipes and causing my hybrid engine to fail. This was definitely a learning experience. My suggestion is to flatten out that portion of the driveway immediately below the stairs, thus providing enough room to turn around, before heading out. In any case, my tip for future guests is to bring chains in the winter months to avoid the issues I created for myself.
