Located near grocery shopping, lots of boat ramps, Rainbow River State Park, Withlachoche Bike trail and many restaurants makes this location excellent. House is two levels with one living room, one kitchen and 2 bedrooms on each level.
We had a great stay in this roomy and comfortable house! The view of the river is wonderful, I drank my coffee outside on the porch every morning and my wine every evening. The house is perfect for a large group with space for privacy. We did all things Rainbow Springs and kayaked and swam every day. It was especially nice that single AND tandem kayaks were included.
We absolutely loved being able to kayak Rainbow Springs right from the backyard! Very comfortable beds and plenty of space for our group! Fabulous views! We will be back!!!
We had a group of 9. My sister and BIL shared one room with their kids (7 & 10). My husband and I had the master suite. My kids are 18 and 20, they shared one of the bedrooms downstairs (2 queen beds, huge room). Our stepmom had the other downstairs room The bedrooms were spacious. We really only used one of the two living rooms, there was plenty of room for us to spread out. The neighborhood was quiet. The house was within 5 minutes of town, so very convenient.
This was an ideal house for our large family to meet up and enjoy the holiday. The house is large and all the bedrooms are spacious. It is really two separate living areas; a full kitchen, dining and living space with two bedrooms upstairs, and downstairs another kitchen, bath, two bedrooms , bar, laundry and another living/dining area. The town has a little of everything you will need close by. The riverside property is peaceful and is a lovely neighborhood.
Beautiful setting. House was spacious with everything we needed to enjoy our time together. The younger members of the family really enjoyed kayaking on the beautiful Rainbow River.
We were very excited to stay in this beautiful home. When we arrived we had a bit of an issue with the code on the door not unlocking but before I could even call the host Rich, he was calling me and apologized that I was having trouble. He then gave me instructions on where the lockbox was and the code. He was super nice and made sure we got in after that with no issues. We were in the house less than 5 mins after arriving to the home. The instructions book and the keys to the kayaks were right where they told us it would be. We had zero issues with anything else. There was plenty of space for our family of 7. The house was very clean and the beds were all super comfortable. The property line was very well explain and there was plenty of room for us to run around and play as well as launch the kayaks. We did infact see a 4ft gator in the cove which we all thought was very cool. The instructions on how to leave the house was extremely simple. We loved leaving from the cove to float down to swampy's for lunch which was super easy and very refreshing. Having access that close to the river was very nice. If you stay in this home make sure you go down to KP hole to swim, it was about a 5min drive from the home and only $7 to swim, you can also launch the kayaks from there and kayak back to the house which was amazing! We had the best time and can not wait for us go back!
Great rental! So spacious and perfectly placed on River
What a sweet spot on the river for family! We launched right onto the water from the rental which saved so much time for us blowing up multiple paddle boards. Spacious for family and kids with two living rooms and bonus kitchen downstairs. Really wonderful trip! Would recommend!
We had a wonderful stay at this home. We had 2 families consisting of 4 adults and 4 children and there was plenty of room for all. We liked that we could be upstairs listening to music and the kids could be downstairs watching TV if they wanted. It was easy to launch kayaks and get onto the river. You definitely would not want to swim in the water on the property (Gators, turtle, gar), but that was not an issue for us as we enjoyed the fishing part of that. Great stay overall.
This house was the perfect layout for two families (four adults, three children 7-10 years). We stayed with friends and enjoyed paddling up to the headsprings from the backyard. The dock is perfect for launching. We brought inflatable paddleboards and our friends used the on-property kayaks.
The head springs (up past KP Hole) is the most beautiful part of the river. Took us about an hour to paddle to KP Hole and then another 45 minutes to paddle up to the headsprings. You paddle against the current on the way up, but when you have your lunch floating on the way back, you feel like you've earned it! Get out early for the best chance of watching the wildlife (otters, turtles, small gators).
We had an absolutely spectacular time! everything was as described in the description of the property and amenities. The communication was impeccable and myself. honestly couldn't have asked for anything to be better. 11/10
We had a wonderful time enjoying the Rainbow River. This house had everything we needed for visiting and socializing inside. While we did utilize the back yard and dock some, there weren't many chairs. After a visit from the neighbor about property lines, it was clear that this was by design.
We spent plenty of time on the river with the kayaks that were provided. We tubed and rented a pontoon on other days. We could not get the pontoon we rented into the little inlet that this house sits on, but kayaks made it through fine, (and smaller boats would be okay), so we "taxi'd" via kayaks to the pontoon. The water in the inlet is like a pond, not as clear and clean as the river and not what I would consider swimmable. We had a small gator and a lot of gar there who were fun to watch. Kids did some pond fishing from the dock. You can see Rainbow River from the house and dock, but you just can't walk to the river from the property without trespassing into the neighbor's yard.
If you are not expecting river front access, a fire pit or gathering outside a lot, this is an awesome house at a good value. Getting to the river via a quick kayak ride allowed for amazing days on the river!
From booking to checkout, the property manager was very helpful and communicative. The property was very clean and the perfect setup for our family. Having the private cove was really nice, and we enoyed seeing the two alligators each day. The kayaks on-site were nice and we had easy access to the river. It was nice being only a short drive to the Winn Dixie for groceries and necessities. We drove the Rainbow Springs State Park for two of the days of our stay, and it's ony about a 5 minute drive. This was our first time in Dunnellon, but definitely not our last. Thank you for sharing your home!
The house and property were amazing very spacious has 2 full kitchens with everything you need. You have your own dock to fish from in a private cove directly off Rainbow river you can easily put kayaks or paddle boards in and be on the river in just mins.
Stunning views of the river! Our adult children loved the downstairs apartment- gave all of us space to enjoy the stay. Spent time on the Rainbow River enjoying nature. We would definitely return!
Beautiful, relaxing and enjoyed every second! Enough space for everyone.
Very clean and most comfortable beds and furniture. Absolutley the BEST place!
Great location, private with everything for a large family, close to amenities & activities such as kayaking on Rainbow River, a swim with manatees at Rainbow Springs or just relax with games & movies is a very comfortable home. Highly recommend a stay here if you are visiting the area.
The home was big and spacious. It was clean and uncluttered. It is on a small cove that is only a minute paddle to rainbow river. The host provided everything from shampoo to laundry soap. Plenty of towels and a very comfy bed. Kayak was in good shape. It was close to all the attractions yet in a quiet neighborhood. All was good.
Property is very nice, description very accurate. Host is responsive. The neighbors are very close and are not friendly, they text the host because we had what they felt was too many cars in the drive way and we were too loud on the dock, but we were only laughing and fishing, we didnât even have music. Also told the host we had a boat with a motor and trailer that we were launching from the yard.... we literally had a very small jon boat with trolling motor that my sons picked up and carried to the water. (not to mention there was a pontoon boat sitting at the neighbors dock, but there was a huge problem with our trolling motor). The host called after the neighbors text and I felt as though I had to defend myself and we really werenât doing anything âun-neighborlyâ. Kinda ruined our Sunday evening fun from it all. If you rent know the neighbors are not friendly.
