Ok hotel if you want to be kept awake all night.

Came here for a quiet night away with my partner. Upon check in everything looked ok. Got dressed went out for a meal, came back and first complaint would be the broken shower that doesn’t even hold on its pole so you have to hold it to get under water. By this time the noise from outside was terrible, cars screeching in and out of the car park all night which I may add is in front of the rooms so when they are pulling up like Nigel mansell in front of your window you worry it’s gonna come through the window!!! People in and out of the bar coming into car park to smoke and being very noisy/rowdy. Decided to try and get some sleep and the bedcovers has stains, the bottom of the bed was broken and the noise kept us awake till after 4am. Worst night away we have ever had so don’t be fooled by thinking because it seems out the way it’s quiet! It’s not!!!!!

Ideal for visiting durham city

Lovely friendly staff ..excellent price for the chalets ...close to durham by taxi or there is a bus ...restaraunt really nice

Convenient for visiting Durham

The Inn is located in a quiet village close to Durham which made for a very pleasant stay whilst visiting friends and and family. Durham is a beautiful city with many things to see and also culturally exciting as it is steeped in history. There are also some very pleasant walks along the river banks and many good restaurants. The Bay Horse Inn is friendly and clean with good off road parking.

Not far from Durham city

Nice quaint Olde Worlde village pub with good food and beers and other drinks all at very reasonable prices. Kay is a much hands on attentittive host and obviously works hard to keep the business on the up and up. Full of locals who support the village pub. All very friendly and make you feel welcome.
