Cleanliness is at top of the list for me and this place hit the mark. There were four of us and were a little concerned about having one bathroom, but had no issues. We each had our own bedrooms and besides that we were mainly in the kitchen prepping food and in the dining room playing games. There was a pull through driveway, which helped tremendously since we brought our boat. The house is situated next to a road, but we hardly heard any cars go by, so it was quiet. Also, there were not any neighbors around, so that was nice as well. There is not a dishwasher, so I was happy that I brought paper plates to cut down on washing dishes. The only inaccuracy in the listing was the proximity of the boat landing, but everything else lined up.
Great cabin to stay at near Eagle river. Not too far from town and pet friendly! Only downside is it is run by a third party named Vacasa and they had to "confirm my identity" before giving me the check in information. Had to call them on their 800 number. I booked through Vrbo, so everything should have been done through that. Other than that, was a nice place to stay.
I enjoyed the time we spent there. I did have a couple of things to mention. I did not think the toilet was as clean as it could be. It may have been a rust issue, there are things to use for that. Also, in the room I was in one of the trim boards on the ceiling was partially hanging down with nails in it. The kitchen had just about everything we needed and on the whole very clean, I am glad they accept pets too and they even had a pooper scooper there for us to use. The road was busier than I thought it would be, but that is not the owner's fault. I would rent it again. Also, they had plenty of nice towels in the bathroom. Thank You!
This cabin was just as described on Vrbo. The kitchen was well equipped, the rooms were clean and comfortable. There were plenty of towels, extra pillows and blankets. The deck has a very nice gas fire pit and a grill. The wifi worked well. We were able to access Netflix on the tv, but no local channels which would have been nice. The house is close to the road, so there is some road noise. The house seemed very secure, the front door had double locks and the sliding patio doo had a lock and burgle-bar. The location is close to several restaurants. If you are not looking for a place on the water, this was a comfortable, functional house to stay in.
Though the place is probably just fine for people who don't want to go for dog walks, bike rides, or runs, it was a real disappointment for us. The property cost nearly double what we paid at a nice place right on the water up north last summer, and this one is within walking distance of nothing. It's located on a busy road with 10 cars passing by the house just a few feet from the front door every minute. The biggest bummer was that though it's technically close to water, you have to drive to get to it. Even then, you pretty much have to have a boat to use the lakes. We ended up driving 30 miles to get to a pet friendly beach. Beyond that, the basement stairs are super unsafe and unsecured, as are the stairs leading from the deck to the yard. This property is not safe for young children or off-leash pets. On top of that, all of the furniture is at least 30 years old and there is no outdoor lighting whatsoever in case you arrive after sundown.
