If youâre looking for a weekend getaway for a Michigan State game weekend or need an extended your stay for any reason, rent this property.
It is minutes from MSUâs campus in a great neighborhood. The home is quaint but spacious at the same time and a perfect vibe for any Spartan fan.
I needed to find somewhere close to campus as I transitioned to the area for work and this provided me everything I needed. The kitchen has every amenity, while the living space and bedrooms are perfect for a solo tenant or a small group.
The property owner is next level in terms of communication. I never felt unaware of my next step regarding my rental.
It is a great property and one that I would recommend to anyone planning a short or extended trip to East Lansing.
The house was clean and welcoming. All of the rooms were exactly as shown and better in person! I would 100% recommend it for others looking to stay in the East Lansing area.
I stayed here with my dog while he went to MSU for treatment. We were within a five minute drive of the vet hospital, not to mention many stores and restaurants. I ordered delivery on DoorDash a few times without issue and when there was a problem with the garbage disposal, the host was very quick to handle it. The house itself is small but well-maintained and decorated, and it has all the amenities you could need. Very clean for the most part. I worked from the office during the day and appreciated having a desk and solid WiFi for uninterrupted work. The neighborhood is nice enough, super walkable and shaded but surrounded by frats with less-than-clean yards (though this didnât bother us and is to be expected in a college town). We enjoyed our time here despite visiting under difficult circumstances. Would definitely book again.
Joshes house reminded me of my experiences as a student at Michigan State from 1968 to 1974!
Anybody remember Macâs Bar
and dancing at the Coral Gables? Well, I do and staying at Joshâs place took me back to those daysâŠin my mind anyway.
There was one odd occurrence that I wondered about though. Students spilled into the streets in front of bars, and in back of bars at at closing time in the approximate intersection of MAC & Albert. The police showed up almost immediately with sirens sounding and lights flashing.! I suppose that induced feelings of safety and security among some of the students. But when we closed down entire sections of Grand River Avenue, in the spring of 1970, the police were nowhere to be seen and therefore didnât exist as far as I was concerned as we taunted the National Guard. were chased by tanks firing cannons, canisters of pepper, and tear gas!
We traded the whole thing as a street party and weâre having fun! Times and culture changes!
Clean, safe, all the amenities, well appointed, and close to MSU and downtown East Lansing. (Like legitimately close. Itâs an easy walk.) It has a side yard, where we kicked the soccer ball with our kid, and a little garage. Josh was super communicative and responsive to any of our questions. We enjoyed our stay. We would stay again.
Great experience - very easy, very clean. Paint chips on floor of bathroom shower, and upstairs gets much warmer than downstairs but overall great. Fully equipped kitchen and functioning washer and dryer. Small car recommend to bring if wanting to fit in garage. Management was great and very responsive.
You never really know what you are renting until you get there. Let me save you the anxiety of renting this place.
This place is as advertised in that it was clean, comfortable, safe, and the owner was quick to respond and communicate with us with any questions or concerns.
I highly recommend this place.
Clean, well provisioned home, fully functioning appliances, firm bed, quiet walkable neighborhood, fantastic internet speeds for working remotely. Would stay again.
