This is a lovely home, nicely furnished, well equipped and very clean. The view of the cove was perfect. Although getting in and out of the driveway was a challenge, the location is convenient to all the places we wanted to go.
This house is really beautiful, bright and so clean! We were two families with a toddler and 11 year old kids who stayed very comfortably. Plenty of space to relax, cook and eat meals together. We loved being on the water and easily took out the paddle boards that we brought. The house comes with two kayaks. Location is great, just a 3 min drive from places to eat or shop on Orleans and a 7 minute drive to First Encounter beach.
The only thing that was a little challenging is that the house is along Route 6 which is very busy, which makes it hard to takes bikes out and ride to the trail since crossing the road isnât the easiest. But the house is down a long driveway so the traffic isnât a bother otherwise with sound. Highly recommend!
This was a fantastic place for family to meet for a week. There are four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a half bath on the first floor. Each couple had their own private space. But the first floor space was the best for gathering. It was large and open, with a full wall of windows facing the waterâplenty of space for folks to be alone yet with the group. The kitchen was well-appointed with what you needed to fix meals, grill outside, and eat together. A bonus was the waterfront dock and 2 kayaks which our younger folks made great use of. We also enjoyed evenings around the gas fire pit. Getting in and out of the driveway on Rt. 6 was a little challenging, but a little patience paid off. Traffic noise was not a problem in the house.
Gorgeous house but should really have more beds and be listed for 10 to 12 people due to large bedrooms & high price. None of my teens wanted to sleep in the "kids room" with two twin beds. That room was underwhelming. I suggest putting a queen size bed in there with night stand as well and leave one of the twin beds there as well. Maybe move the second twin to the room next door. The layout of the house upstairs was very weird - master bedroom was very isolated from other rooms - if I had small kids I would have been freaking out that they are super far from me. Master bathroom is cheaply made. Everything was falling apart and the toilet took forever to flush. Also seems like the water doesn't get hot in all of the bathrooms. Also no light above the dining room table. The whole area needs ceiling lights. Cooking on the stove can be problematic too as there is no hood to ventilate the smoke. We learned the hard way when the smoke alarm went off.
