Exceptional home with an extraordinary view

This was the perfect location for our stay on Orcas Island! The home itself was beautiful, spacious, and a constant source of delight. High ceilings, lovely furnishings, a cozy fireplace, and multi-story windows showcasing the incredible view over the forest and water.

Orcas island retreat

Lovely home for a family getaway. Lot’s of games for the kids and terrific views from the porch and living area. The pool table kept us quite busy too. Easy drive to Moran State Park for kayaking and hiking. All around a terrific spot. If the opportunity arises, we’ll come back.

Stunning views

Our multigenerational family loved this property! Stunning views, lots of custom details, comfortable furniture, plenty of space for 9 people to eat together, play games together, lounge separately, etc. The kitchen had everything you could need. A convenient distance to Eastsound village and Moran State Park. We had several children in our group and made use of the board games and kids books provided, and the adults made use of the grill, hot tub, sauna and pool table. Note that the pond in the photos was not in good shape/easily accessible and the teepee was dismantled, but that was a plus for us given that we did not want our children playing around water at the home. In any case, I highly recommend this property.

The View!

From everywhere in the house the view is breathtaking! The house is really lovely, great kitchen adequately stocked, games and puzzles, beautiful artwork. There was plenty of space for our 4 adults and 3 teenaged boys. We used the bunkhouse. Sherri was very easy to reach. Overall would recommend highly!

Gorgeous home for unwinding!

We loved every minute of our stay. The house is so comfortable and well laid out. The hosts have thought of everything one might need, including a well stocked kitchen. The layout is ideal for a family gathering or two small families spending time together. The bunkhouse is perfect for giving kids their space. Hot tubbing at night under the stars was such a treat. Would love to come back in the summer when days are long and when we could enjoy that beautiful deck and view!

Magnificent Home Base for Exploring Orcas

This home is just as described — comfortable, stunning views, and outstanding amenities. The kitchen is top rate; the master suite is lovely; the sauna and hot tub are fantastic; and the living rooms and deck look out over the beautiful Sailish Sea. All this and you’re a 7-minute drive into Eastsound. Don’t miss the hiking in Turtleback Mountain Preserve and Moran State Park. Try the pastries at Brown Bear Baking. Go whale watching and kayaking. Nothing is more than half an hour from this wonderful home base. We cannot recommend it highly enough!

Simply outstanding

We couldn’t have been happier with this property. We were on Orcas for our daughter’s wedding, which kept us pretty busy. I only wish I could have had more time to sit on the deck and relax with the gorgeous view, or time to use the hot tub. . This was the most guest ready property I’ve ever rented. Everything you could need was there. Family dinners were a breeze. They even supplied a crib, high chair and baby gate for us. Sherri was very helpful in answering our questions. I only hope I am lucky enough to stay here again.

Fabulous in every way!

I’m a fan of rental homes and have stayed in many over the years, and this is, by far, the best I’ve ever experienced. From the spacious accommodations to all the extra touches, this Orcas getaway exceeded our expectations in every respect. Favorite features: wonderful fire pit table - great for chilly evenings when we wanted to stay out on the deck to enjoy the stunning sunsets; (did I mention stunning sunsets? Holy cow - just incredible!!); hot tub and sauna, which were welcome after a long day of hiking; fully-equipped kitchen with sharp knives (so unusual in a rental), plus all the cookware we could ever need; plenty of dinnerware and a comprehensive assortment of glasses; everything spotlessly clean; comfortable beds; peace and quiet; and did I mention jaw-dropping views and stunning sunsets? They do bear repeating. We highly recommend this amazing home, and hope to return again and again.

Simply Stunning

We were not prepared for how stunning this property is. After a wild day of last minute logistics planning due to our sea plane being canceled because of the President's trip to Seattle creating a no-fly zone, arriving at this property was quite the reward. From the stunning views, to the hot tub, to the sauna, to the pool table, to the top-tier kitchen appliances, and what I believe is the most divine shower I have ever experienced due to the hansgrohe powder rain shower head in the upstairs bathroom, this property has it all.

Great Location/Beautiful Views

The property was beautiful and what we were hoping for during our stay on Orcas Island. Some of the property photos are a bit dated so a few things are different in person, but nothing major. Conveniently located near town but secluded enough to feel like you are alone on the island. Would definitely recommend it.

Another Stay In Paradise

This is our second stay at Islandview Haus and it remains our little slice of heaven on Earth to visit. There is plenty to do at the home and around the islands. Nothing beats the breathtaking views of from the hot tub/spa on the outside deck - the landscape during the day and the star-filled night sky in the evenings. If you’re looking for a tranquil place to stay on the island with some of the creature comforts, Islandview Haus is it! We can’t wait to be back!
