Everything was as described about the property so can't really complain. It was clean, comfy bed, access to large kitchen area with oven, hob etc. Very friendly reception staff, open 24hrs. Tea/coffee facilities at reception to help yourself. Very warm on a night - quite uncomfortable at times and hard to get to sleep. Approx. 15-20 minute hilly walk (depending how fast you walk) to the town centre. Overall ok, but very overpriced everywhere during Fringe Festival.

Our room was located next to the main exit, where guests conragated whist having a cigarette. Also when guests were leaving in the early hours of the morning they would just let the doors slam waking us up on many occasions.

One night stay in Edinburgh

Pros: Price and clenlliness
Cons: Kettle etc in room
Location: 25 min walk to town Lots of eateries
Couldn't find anything at a decent price as the Festival was on Tried a little bit further a field and came across this little bargain Looks and smells brand new Helpful staff Not too far from Town

Great for cheap accommodation near the city centre

Pros: Cheap, near city centre, had a kitchen.
Cons: Aircon in room.
Location: 15 minutes walk into the city centre.
We needed some accommodation during the festival period. We booked it last minute at a good price. It is standard student accommodation. The staff were nice the rooms were clean everything we needed. It was great to have use of a kitchen. The only downside was the room was very very hot.

Clean comfortable at a convenient location

Pros: Convenient and affordable, especially at the time of the Fringe Festival.
Cons: Putting some mechanism to slow down the closing of the doors, or some dampeners to stop the banging noise made with their closing.
Location: Bus no. 8, 23 and 27 to and from the city with frequent service. Tesco and M&S garage for shopping only a few minutes walk away.
A well maintained accommodation with easy and regular bus access to the city. A conveniently located Tesco, only a few metres away, is great for shopping for food and other necessities. Room is tidy with modern and clean wash-room. The staff is also friendly and helpful. The only thing I found annoying is the noise their doors make when being closed. As every apartment has several rooms sharing a kitchen, you can't escape the noise when the doors are being used in your block. The noise was the loudest when the cleaners came in the morning. So, if you are a somebody who likes a lie-in, then be prepared to be woken and annoyed by the constant banging of doors when the cleaners start to do their job.

Résidence très sympa, proche du centre ville

Une résidence vraiment sympa et pratique au cœur d’Édimbourg. Nous sommes arrivés en dehors des heures d’ouvertures de la réception car notre avion était tard, mais il y a un service de sécurité 24/24 donc toujours quelqu’un pour vous accueillir. La chambre était simple mais propre et fonctionnelle, avec la salle de bain intégrée. Un point négatif pour la ventilation de la sdb qui était très bruyante et mettait longtemps à s’éteindre.... Une cuisine équipée (vaisselle, four, frigo !!) pour les 5 chambres de notre palier : génial ! La résidence est à 20 mins à pied du centre-ville, mais aussi à 5 mins de plusieurs parcs et beaucoup de chemins de promenades alentour, très agréable pour fuir la masse de touristes !! Il y a aussi un Lidl et un Tesco juste à côté, c’est parfait. Nous recommandons cet endroit et espérons y revenir un autre été !! :)

A basic and clean residense not far from the city.

The hotel was easy to find...The walk from the city center wasn't too long in my opinion. There is a bus too, but it doesn't go after 8pm or so. The room was small, but very clean and had everything we needed. The weather was around 20C° during the day so the room didn't get too hot, as the window only opens a little. The shared kitchen was great for breakfast. The area itself was quiet and felt safe. Edinburg is a lovely place to visit.
