We had 6 adults and 4 children staying here and overall it completely met our needs. We enjoyed family dinners in the kitchen. Each family had their own bedroom and bathroom facilities. From start to end our host was so communicative and helpful and attended to any issue so promptly. We enjoyed staying away from the hustle and bustle of Edinburgh and the property is secluded and quiet. Great for the kids to run around and play. Great access to beautiful beaches, public transportation to Edinburgh and surrounding communities. Would stay here again for sure.
Amazing mansion of a house. Beautifully accented, each room tells a story of its own. Lots of room to spread out and enjoy family company. The baby grand was a beautiful touch, both in its beauty and sound. We had two piano players in our group and enjoyed the music for each night we were there.
Had a friend's reunion up here and the location and house are perfect for large groups. Lovely house to relax in and only a short train ride away from central Edinburgh as well. Communications with Ferhan were seamless as were the check in and check out process with him in person.
If staying up near Edinburgh would stay again!
Ferhan is an awesome host- met us at the house and spend an hour of his time going through house specifics on the evening when our flights were late. He was very responsive and helpful.
At check out time he came over and checked on us and even took our luggage to the train as we were walking to the train location. House is amazing!
This was the best VRBO experience I've had to date. The host came to let us in the first day and gave us a detailed tour of the property. He had several pages of instructions and recommendations for local sights and dining. The property was a magnificent 18th-century manor that had been updated with modern features, e.g. kitchen, showers.
It was relatively easy to get to the train station, plus the grocery store was on the way.
A group of 10 (5 couples) from Canada came to enjoy the sights and sounds of Edinburgh , including the Tattoo .
This house was just perfect for our group , so much room in the house and easy to get the train into Edinburgh
An amazing house for three different families from three different countries reuniting. Plenty of space indoors and out! Would definitely stay here again.
Loved our stay! House was perfect for our entire family traveling together to Edinburgh. Close to train, host offered excellent restaurant recommendations, clean, spacious, beautiful gardens. Host communicated regularly and check-in was super easy. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend!
This beautiful period home has lots of cool history and is a wonderful space for a large family to stay and spread out. The owners have put in a lot of time and energy into the details of the house and were extremely helpful.
We were desperate for a place to stay when our prior arrangements were unacceptable. The communication was terrific, and the place was lovely. Would highly recommend staying here!
We had 7 total in our party and we all enjoyed this house. It was placed in a beautiful neighborhood that was convenient to get into the city or get on the expressway to get to neighboring activities. Ferhan was a great host and helped us get reservations at a local restaurant and answer general questions about the area. We all would definitely stay here again.
For a âperiodâ home is very comfortable and inviting. It is located close enough to Edinburgh that it is easy to get there, but far enough away to have privacy and quiet. The house is close to the beach , easy walk. Other sites are within a1/2hour to hour drive. The property manager was very helpful with checkil in and made excellent for restaurants and pubs. Also responsive if we had questions.
What a beautiful home and stay. The host and his family are truly wonderful and friendly. It has all the necessary elements needed for a great stay. The surronding gardens of the home are extrmely peaceful and beautiful and have a very peaceful and calming effect when returning back to the home after traveling around the surrounding sites of Ediburgh, Stirling and other sites of interest. we were given a few suggestions for the local restaurants for take out, we used two of them as it was easier for a party of 9. Both options were great! Iwould also suggest a early morning walk on the coast and even a little seaching for Seaglass amongst the rocks, you'll find some more treasures other than the peaceful stroll on the walkway and grassy path as you overlook the small city and the beasutiful coastline. Overall a great stay and I highly recommend a stay here in Prestonpons. A bonus was getting to know the host as well. Very pleasant and helpful. we would return for sure.
