The Edmonton Hotel & Covention Centre is our go to place every time we visit YEG which we do about 10-15+ nights a year. Spacious rooms and a quiet heating & cooling system with very comfortable beds (we get some very good rest here!) help make every visit a good one. Staff is very helpful as well.

Room was dirty and had no toilet paper had to call 4 times to finally get some an hour later . Sheets where dirty and stained and the blankets where as thin as a sheet, room was small and the beds where uncomfortable had a 2 night stay and left after the first night. Still waiting on confirmation of refund for second night not stayed.

The beds were so soft and had never been turned so one side was extra saggy. The bathroom shower was good but the cupboards show water damage and pet scratches on the door (or something). The fitness room was ok but would be great to have mats for the floor to do stretching. Nice variety of food at breakfast and the coffee was good.

There were many things that went wrong with our stay. First, after we checked in, the restaurant was still open so we decided to order breakfast. Service was slow, the food came out cold and the eggs Benedict was advertised to be on waffles, though they decided to cut the crust off a couple pieces of toast and sneak that under the eggs. Then, when our group decided to go for supper, the pub was not open as advertised online and at the pub door. Apparently we were supposed to know to look at the billboard they had at the front. After waiting until 6, we had to go get our own food and bring it back to the hotel. Once we got back, no one could help us find cutlery. There was house keeping which told us to ask at the restaurant, which was closed. Then they said ask at the front desk but they had a line up for check-in’s that would have taken half hour in line. We ended up eating with our fingers. The hot tub was out of order, though there was a steam room. So we all got in our swimsuits, went in the pool, which was too cold, so we went straight to the steam room, which wasn’t working. Ugh. So instead of swimming, at 10, we changed back into our cloths to go play pool and the pub was closed at 10:20. So all our plans for a night at the hotel was unsuccessful. I made a complaint about it being able to use any of the amenities, I was told I could come back in the morning to speak to the manager. In the morning, they told me rudely that the manager is not in on Sundays.
