Room had heavy wear and tear. Obviously has not been well maintained. All the lamps and lights in the rooms had awful 6000K blue lighting, very unrelaxing. When asked if they could bring us warmer light bulbs, the hotel said no, even though they use warm lighting on the common areas. The lamps were all falling apart, the office chair was broken and had a bar in your back. Just a bunch of these little “we don’t care at all” markers you find at cheap hotels. The Sandman downtown Edmonton says it’s 4 stars, but not a chance, it looks like a run down 3 star at best - that couldn’t even be called a 2 star now. Redeeming feature? Top floor pool is cool, but they could do so much more with some better decor, plants and lighting.
