We had a very nice stay for our 18th annual ski trip. The location was perfect, about 1/2 way from Taos Ski Valley and Angel Fire. The house had plenty of room to spread out. Check in and check out was simple. Overall great stay.
We were in Taos for a family gathering for my dadâs memorial. The house is a home with history and comfort for a multigenerational group. Large and rambling and full of old Taos charm.
We really enjoyed our stay at Casa del Sol, there was enough room for everyone to spread out, the check in and out process was very easy, and the property and location was beautiful! We also really enjoyed uaing the fireplace which the owner has supplied wood for. We will definitely be back!
Wonderful visit to Taos with the whole extended fam. The house is charming, has beautiful views and is hugeâ plenty of space for everyone to spread out. One of the best!
This house was above and beyond expectations. LOTS of room and beautiful porches/yards. Has everything you need and super convenient to the mountain or down town. Loved it
My siblings and I gathered to celebrate my father's birthday. The house easily accommodated the six of us, with room around the dining table for other friends. The living room is huge, and we loved sitting in the two courtyards with their mountain views. Perfect!
My family of four loved our stay at Casa del Sol. The house is large and very comfortable with great views. Note that there is a treacherous step-down sunken dining room with dark flooring between the entrance and kitchen and it is very easy to wipe out off the edge. It took a few days to get used to it but otherwise this was a great place.
This house is large and well equipped. The 8 of us (4 adults, 4 kids ages 7-11) could easily spread out and everyone had a great time. We cooked a few dinners in the kitchen and the kids spent time playing in the yard, even though it was covered in snow. We didn't roam from the property on foot, but it's in a nice neighborhood and close to everything. Great to just head up the road to skj, and a quick drive into town for dinner. The house had everything we needed and we were saying how lovely it would be in the warmer months with the patio and many screen doors to let the breeze in.
This place was huge and well furnished. There were only a few of us during our stay but this property could accommodate 2 families easily. All of the beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space. I will book this again for our next trip to Taos.
We spent 5 days over New Years here and loved the house. We had plenty of space to relax, play games, and enjoy quality family time. There were enough rooms/ beds for both our families that totaled 7. We enjoyed having 2 ovens to cook for everyone in. It was helpful using the garage and covered parking during the bad weather.
Phil, the property manager, was extremely helpful and friendly for all our needs and questions.
My family and I had a great time. The house is beautiful and really well located for those who want to go skiing or just stay around town. Will be more than happy to come back in the future!!
Lots of space and bedroom arrangements were great. The only thing a person should be aware of is there is a sunken dining room which if you have older folks or you are coming inside from daylight and are not familiar with the space you could trip...we caught it in time for the guests we were afraid of falling and it worked out fine from then on.
This is a sprawling, comfortable, well-equipped home that works well for groups or families. A little maintenance and cleaning TLC would make it more renter friendly.
This property was prefect for us! Two families - 4 adults, 2 college students and 2 kiddos. We enjoyed the layout so much! Alcoves to relax with beautiful views from every window. Location to the Taos ski area and distance to town worked for us . The house gives you such a feeling of family with some many memories made and many more to come! Splendid stay!
I left 3 stars on the accuracy of the listing only because the pictures do not do this property justice!!!
Unique, cozy, interesting property quietly situated in a prime location for TSV guests. Such a cool spot!!!
This is such a unique place to stay. The rooms are interesting and there are plenty of nooks to disappear to or places to get together. For directions, as stated in the check-in notice for VRBO (which we read poorly) follow the written directions and donât try to Google map it. Tons of parking. The area is great. The sky was clear the night we arrived and you can see more stars than pretty much anywhere. The drive to town is quick and the drive up to Taos to ski is short enough (leave by 8 on weekends, especially powder days). We loved it and would definitely stay again.
