This 2 bedroom, 2 bath is very clean, nice, and spacious. It is well furnished and reasonably stocked with essentials. I do suggest that if you don't bring your own non-stick frying pan, be sure and bring some cooking spray/oil. They have 4 frying pans and non of them will cook without food sticking. The house does not have central air conditioning. It does have plenty of heaters for the Winter time, but it only has one portable AC unit for the Summer. Most of the time this is sufficient but there are days when the temperature gets into the high 90s and it takes a long time for the AC unit to cool down the whole home.
A lovely spot just minutes from Taos center with a view of the mountains. The home was very roomy and pleasantly decorated, with ample amount of amenities. The mattresses could be updated, but the biggest issue was the lack of water pressure.
The house was comfortable,well-equipped and close to Taos, but out-of-town, which we preferred. It snowed all day and some of the next during our stay, and it was lovely to stay inside in the cozy house! We also walked around the area, which was very nice.
Taos was wonderful, and we took day trips to Abiquiu and Ghost Ranch, as well as the Enchanted Circle and the High Road.
This is my second stay at Casa Allis and it is one of my favorite places to stay in El Prado. With so many windows you can see both the mountain sunrise and the desert sunset. The kitchen is very well equipped.
Attractive adobe casita with all conveniences, nice kitchen, terrific views and privacy, close to town and to Outdoor exploring. Good light and comfortable furniture in living room and bedrooms, decor very attractive and lively, altogether a gem of a place for two older travelers. Would come back certainly.
3 nts in late Sep, 2023. Location was good for access to Taos and other towns. Home was clean, furniture comfortable with well-stocked kitchen. TV network options were poor unless you had streaming subscriptions. Papergoods were cheap, thin and inefficient. Info from Vacasa dribbled out in disparate emails and text messages rather than in one.
My husband and I stayed during Thanksgiving week. House was wonderfully clean and cozy with great views out front and back. Kitchen had all that we needed. Close to town but not in town. We would definitely return to this happy place!
Everything was terrific - the terrace with a mountain view, the spacious and comfortable living room, the comfy bed. Perfect place to rest after a day of hiking or before heading into town for shopping or dinner. You will need a car to get around!
Loved the house and the spectacular views. Wow! Very clean and well equipped. We knew there was no A/C but we didnât know it was going to be in the unseasonably high 90âs! However we were able to stay cool with the fans and the little A/C in the living room. And the evenings cooled down considerably and we loved the fresh air with the open windows. Overall a great experience and would stay there again.
We liked the size and layout of the house. Getting into it was a problem for all 3 adults. The description of putting in the code was insufficient. We got Covid so appreciated the comfort of the house. We would rent again.
This Adobe home was incredible for a ski weekend in Taos. I took down the address because I will 100% be staying in this exact house again in my future. The sunrises and sunsets were second to none and the location is prime between the mountain and downtown Taos.
The views from inside this house are beautiful. What a great way to wake up and see the local mountains. The house had everything we needed as a family of 4. The house is centrally located to Taos Ski Valley and Taos town making skiing all day and then going out into town for dinner possible. We would stay again.
Quiet, but a quick and easy drive into town. The beds and living room furniture were very comfortable. The panoramic views of the Sangre de Cristo and sunsets over the gorge can't be beat (or missed). I only wish the basic cooking amenities were provided (salt, pepper, cooking oil, sugar, etc) as the listing suggested. Overall I would definitely stay again.
This home was a perfect place to stay for our getaway lots of room and secure area for our dogs to be out...only issue we had was they want you to put towels in to wash before you leave but there is no detergent for the wash so we just put them in without any detergent and left note for cleaning people so hope they rewash them....also windows and window cranks need a lot of work very hard to open windows for a nice breeze...but a very nice place we enjoyed it..
We had a very nice stay at this property. The pictures on the website are a good representation of the property. However some attention needs to be paid a few windows that do not open and close properly (opening / closing mechanism very worn)
This little property is gorgeous. Perfect for our family for a few nights with, without a shadow of a doubt the most incredible sunset skies Iâve ever seen! Close to Taos, beautifully decorated with little details. Would stay again.
