This cabin is very cute. Itâs in an amazing spot. Itâs relatively easy to get too from Ellijay. My kids loved sitting in the hot tub and watching the stream. The boys fished and got some bites. Itâs much larger than we were expecting for a two bedroom cabin. The yard is also large and flat which was an added bonus.
I would like to give you a heads up on a few things with this rental. The glass sliding door going out to the porch on the creek side slides so hard that we used the other door to get out there. The door going out onto the front deck by the barbecue doesnât work. If you go out and close the door you canât get back in! The door knob is broken. The big problem is the shower leaking through the dining table's ceiling. The kitchen pans are a hazard and should be replaced. The surfaces have flaked. The windows inside and outside the cabin have had no cleanup. Pictures attached. Not sure who is responsible for these problems however we would certainly would not rent this property again. And if you as the agent are responsible for these issues, a review of your policies should be the top of the list. The inside of the cabin was clean enough but not what I would consider clean. There are huge cobwebs in the windows, the screen doors are completely green. Hopefully this will help in pointing out the problems and they get corrected.
Overall we enjoyed a peaceful stay at the cabin. There are some areas for improvement, however. The second floor bedrooms were very hot; we would have loved to open the windows for air circulation but there were no screens on them. We ended up buying an additional fan to combat this. The gravel on the sloped driveway was also very thick which made leaving the property challenging as we did not have a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Would also recommend to future renters to purchase groceries and any needed supplies such as dish soap before arriving at the cabin as the nearest store to do so is not nearby. We also expected to be able to fish while on property but found the creek to be very shallow and without fish.
Property was beautiful and very peaceful. When was warm upstairs didnât cool off best with AC. Barbecuing wasnât an option as was rusted and drip pan was falling out so unsafe to use. Hot tub needs instruction sheet on how to heat it. We did have a good time I. Spite of those things.
Our family stayed at âKeeping it Reelâ for the Thanksgiving holiday week. The drive up to the property is absolutely beautiful and a great location. The driveway is steep so I would recommend a larger vehicle or 4 wheel drive for easiest coming and going. The cabin is on the rustic side with limited phone service but that was perfect for us when we wanted to spend quality family time. The apple orchards are close as well as amazing hiking with waterfall views. We had a great stay and would love to come back.
This was exactly what we were seeking. Relaxation and a chance to fish. Loved hearing the creek from the house. We were very glad to have come when we were the only guests around.
My husband and I loved our quick and quiet weekend getaway to this secluded cabin. It was perfection for us and our dog. The pictures do not do the cabin nor the property justice. It was amazing and beautiful. We will definitely be back. The beds were comfortable, the creek was beautiful, the fire pit perfect, the hot tub wonderful, the kitchen had everything you need and more. The entire experience was beyond what we were expecting. I cannot recommend this any higher. You will not be sorry if you book here!! The only thing you need to know, is to make sure you go to the store before heading to the cabin. Im so glad we went prepared because it's a nice little drive out to the property. That's exactly what we were looking for though!!!
Absolutely beautiful, i would leave 5 stars but some trash and cigar butt was left around property. Also some dog poo. Trash can outside had trash in it already also
We were happy to have this be our last minute getaway from the city. Even though it rained, we had access to the trail for a quick walk, the hot tub for soaks, the views of the pond, and the sounds of the creek. It was very clean and provided all the essentials we needed as a family of 5. Additionally, getting a delivery of food was no issue and heading into town was a short drive.
