What a great stay we had at Bearly Behaving! My husband and I met up with our adult kids and significant others a couple of weeks before Christmas. The home was quiet, cozy, comfortable, with a Christmas tree and great amenities. We didn't have to leave the house, and it was large enough that we could spread out if we tired of each other! Lovely river (just like the photo!). And I can't say enough about how accessible and helpful the hosts were.

Cabin was beautiful, roomy, view of the river was great. Host was great. The roads are steep and narrow getting there but our traverse made it. Would reccomend finding the cabin during the day for your first trip but overall great experience

Very relaxing vacay! Loved the view and the huge porch with outdoor fireplace. There was a very rare cool snap while were there so we got to use it as well. Loved the creek and the fact that we didn't have to climb a mountain to get to it. There were some steep climbs on the way to the cabin but a car shouldn't have any problems. The access road in front of the cabin only allows for one vehicle at a time so go slow and be prepared to back up if necessary.Kim was super accommodating and very flexible with me when I had to change my dates (luckily the cabin was available as it is usually booked solid). We had a great time and woudl stay here again.

After an exhaustive search for the perfect place my two sisters and brothers in laws could enjoy time together for the weekend, we came across the listing for Bearly Behaving and feel in love! The owners are top notch and answered all of my questions promptly and did their best to accommodate and ensure we had a fabulous time. It was well stocked, beautifully decorated, comfortable, fun, relaxing....I could go on but you get the picture....It was perfect! Once you made the drive to the cabin it was like a secret little paradise. I agree with another review that you should arrive in daylight because it is tucked in along one lane gravel drive that runs along the river but just follow their directions and it's not a problem. The many activities on the property let you know that the owners have put much thought into their guests having a great stay from the pool table, game room, hot tub, large outdoor seating by the fireplace, large outdoor dining table, awesome firepit by the river, comfortable 3 king beds with baths for each, brand new gas grill, rockers, swings, tubes for tubing down the river (its a must do, super fun!), plenty of indoor seating and two large indoor dining tables, lots of tv's. This cabin exceeded our expections! I can't wait to stay there again!

Awesome!

My family had the best time! Fishing, floating, hiking. There were 14 of us and plenty of room. We laughed and played every day! What an unforgettable vacation. This home was truly amazing. Thank you for the memories. And such a great host! Definitely 5 stars from my family!

Great house to stay in with the whole family! We played games, Took walks, and loved tubing on the river! This home had a great game room and tvs on every level.One great thing was the size of the two tables. We all could have dinner together. It was very spacious. Beds were very comfortable. Did I mention the wild life? Deer everywhere. We even saw a baby fawn that was about 2 days old. Still very wobbly. We loved it. Also wild turkeys, squirrels and rabbits.We will probably stay here again!!!

Excellent accommodations

We stay in vacation rentals 2-3 times a year. This was the best stocked rental we’ve had. All details were thought of. Firewood at fireplace and firepit. Plenty of seating inside and out. Floats, bikes, video games, game table and pool table. Books, puzzles and a stocked kitchen. Bedding was comfortable and plenty of options. Short walk up and float back down in beautiful stream. The rec center was a good drive but a nice option to have. Ellijah is a cute town with good restaurants and cute shops. The only drawback to this location is the amount of time to get to it. It rained every night but the roads never became an issue. I absolutely loved the house and the wildlife you see driving in and out are amazing. Be prepared for the 20 min drive once on the property and you are set! Plus host are so easy to work with!!!

Perfect family trip!

We were stunned with how perfect this cabin was for our family trip! Excellent location on the river! We had so much fun fishing every single day and loved how we could walk down the path and tube back to the cabin. This cabin has everything you need and more and it checked off all our family vacation needs and wants. We had such an amazing and memorable trip. The hosts, Kim and Chad, are so kind, very responsive, and helpful. We cannot wait to come back!

View to Lose Yourself

We stay for 6 days. Home was beautiful and spacious. Right on the River, which was stunning. The home is in a great community with wildlife everywhere. Walmart and stores are close by and easily accessible. The kids and adults loved the pool table and game room. We would gather in the evenings around the wood burning fireplaces and listen to the water. Highly recommend staying here. Owners were very responsive and worked to make are stay the best.

Large group had a great weekend

Cabin and views of the stream are top notch. Everything was in good working order, easy to enjoy. Navigating to and from the cabin is quite difficult. Highly recommend arriving in daylight and following the text instructions they provide. Roads are very steep and narrow so go slow

Beautiful home on the creek

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. The host was very responsive throughout the process of booking and after our stay. The home was very clean and stocked as mentioned in the description. Our favorite part of the house was the outdoor fireplace which we used nightly to make s’mores and we also enjoyed the game room. It was nice for my girls to have their own space and they loved the game table that was loaded with many games to play. We enjoyed the sound of the creek as we sat by the water in the afternoon. Would definitely recommend this home!

Perfect Mountain House

This house is awesome, and so spacious, It sits right in a creek that the kids had a blast tubing down. It is a 25 minute trip up the mountain and parts are just a little two rut bumpy road, but once you reach the home, you will not be disappointed. There was plenty of parking, seating and sleeping. The game room was a huge hit. This host has thought if everything.

What an amazing place. We had 7adults 8 kids and the place was perfect. With the creek in front of the home to the hot tub and then the game room, everyone was happy. Great spot! Great Trip.

This is one of the nicest cabins we’ve ever stayed in. The entire experience was great. The owners clearly care for this property and work hard to ensure everything is perfect. The amenities are top notch - higher end appliances, great furniture, plenty of chairs outside, nice hot tub, plenty of kitchen pots/pans utensils, large bathrooms, etc. it literally had everything we needed for two families (4 adults and 4 children). They have covered all the details. The view from the cabin is gorgeous. The bedrooms are very large, and each bedroom has its own large bathroom. Perfect layout for families. The kids had the entire downstairs to themselves, and it is huge. We loved having so many activities for the kids. The infinity game table, pinball machine, pac-man, and Golden Tee were so fun. The adults played a lot of pool after the kids went to bed. The fire pit by the river was relaxing. We would love to come back during the summer months. We loved this place. Potential Improvements: They need some new/better pots and pans in the kitchen. The towels were scratchy. But that’s about it. Know before you go: The Coosawatte River Resort is massive. You are 20 minutes from anything, literally. Plan accordingly. The roads are narrow and winding. The cabin is really off the beaten path. The paved roads turn into gravel roads, and the path to the cabin is a single lane remote path right beside the creek. It’s not convenient, but it is secluded and beautiful!
