The room was very clean. It was one of the quietest hotels I have stayed in. Bed was comfortable. It is on a great location close to a lot of restaurants. Water pressure was great and had plenty of hot water!
We stayed only one night, but the room was great (307), it had a walk in closet, separate sitting area with a trundle, spacious bathroom and the 2 queen beds were extremely comfortable. Good water pressure and great variety at breakfast, couldnât have asked for better for a quick trip from Jacksonville to the mountains. This location was also close to a variety of dining options all within walking distance.
The room and facility were clean and new. The room was beautiful. When I booked our room, the dog fee was stated as $50 but when I checked out I was charged $75. I went to talk to the front desk about it and the worker said, their website hadnât been updated yet. I said that wasnât my fault. The manager came and said, sorry the website isnât updated yet and you have to pay $75. I just walked away disappointed with the hotel. One of the reasons I chose this hotel was the $50 dog fee which apparently someone dropped the ball and Iâm paying for the hotels mistake. Otherwise we liked the hotel.
Breakfast was included but most everything is processed, straight from the freezer to the microwave. Cleaning service is offered every other day but we stayed 5 days & we asked for a room cleaning. They removed the soiled towels & trash & that was it. We could hear traffic from the street, people walking in the room above us & toilets flushing. Itâs a new hotel so everything is clean & new, beds are comfortable. Itâs close to several restaurants, an Urgent care & Walmart.
Very pleasant and friendly staff who were glad to assist. Very clean. Took us a minute to figure out the window shades- maybe an instruction card mounted over the control panel would be helpful, but not a big deal.
Arrived at the hotel at 2:05pm and was told there was an extra fee for early check in before 3:00pm. Needless to say I ended up sitting in the parking lot for an hour. I have never in my 45 years of business travel been charged a fee for checking in an hour early. After spending $400+ a night, you wouldn't expect to be charged an extra fee. Needless to say, I will think twice before staying at another Springhill Suites.
Brand new hotel, very clean. Good location. Lots of shopping/restaurants. Welcoming staff. Minimalist rooms with little decor & dim lighting. TV in an odd location. Quiet, except for inconsiderate people in the hallway. Beds are fairly comfy but they seem to get their pillows at the Hotel Pancake Pillow store, like almost all hotels. Breakfast was just ok. The egg & cheese English muffins were cold. Get down there before 8am because they don't seem to restock after that. They were out of muffins & plain bagels shortly after 8, and service is supposed to go til 9.
