Pictures show a walk in shower. Shower-tub combo is what we got and Hotel refused to switch our room to accommodate. We even requested in a message online before our trip that we wanted the walk in shower. My wife is older and has a hard time with slippery tub showers. Also, they don’t stock any pool towel at night.Breakfast was not too great. I don’t even know where they got the eggs from but they looked sad and the sausage was barely cooked.

We enjoyed our stay. The property is older but the room was clean, tidy and spacious with a lovely view of the ocean. The room was well equipped with all of the essentials like toiletries, hair dryer, tea/coffee making facilities, and USB charging ports in the alarm clock.. something that is lacking in other hotels! Breakfast was lovely, great variety and friendly staff member on duty.

The room was nice & clean & the balcony had a beautiful view of the city & the coastline! It was the first time we had ants in the bathtub when we first got into the room. Wasn’t a terrible issue but that was a first. I do wish there was a little more breakfast options. We traveled with 3 kids under 7 & it would have been nice to have more options for them

Balcony is always scenic, even the extreme end rooms. One guy at the front desk needs to get a better attitude. Maybe put some microwaves in all rooms. Breakfast was good, just the quality of the food was not great. Maybe get a waffle maker and put cups of waffle mix out? Or a pitcher and cup of the liquefied mix to pour on a hot waffle iron. Fresh fruit selection is limited for a place where fresh fruit is available year round. All in all, it is one of the best in Encinitas, in a reasonable price range. Excellent location.
