The home was very clean and well-equipped with all of the essentials. I do feel however like itâs important to mention for future guests that the house is literally a stoneâs throw from the train tracks and the train runs most of the night and blows its horn right in front of the house. If youâre looking for a restful nightâs sleep on your vacation, this home is probably not for you.
We stayed for 10 days with our 3 daughters. When we walked into the unit, there were dirty paper towels on the floor. We also enter through the bedroom with the two double beds, so it was not ideal. Our oldest daughter stayed in that room, so we were nervous because we donât like a main entry point to any of our kidsâ rooms. Unfortunately, the house was not very clean. There was dust on almost every surface of the bedrooms (table, dresser corners), and dirt under the beds and corners of the rooms. It didnât feel very clean and the sheets smelled like the cleaners used a lot of bleach in the wash. I washed the sheets after a day with the detergent to get it cleaner. When I went to use the dishes, there was moldy food stuck inside a bowl, some debris in a couple other bowls/plates, and I found a live bug walking around the cabinet with the plastic bowls and cups. Overall, cleanliness is a 2 star for me. The house is located on a busy road right across from the Amtrak, so youâll hear the train coming through often. Even though the house was close to the beach, we never walked there so we still had to find parking each time (can be a headache because of the amount of people). There is no sidewalk on Vulcan and itâs a busy road, so it can be sketchy walking to the stoplight. The hot tub was very confusing to operate. We finally figured it out on day 2/3. The spa water also smelled like straight chlorine and made my skin itch. This is a cool house with no kids, but not with kids.
Great place and great stay ! The host was great at communicating and making sure our stay was good! I would recommend and hope to book again next time!
Truly appreciated the openness inside for containing the kiddos when we needed time to relax. I loved the outdoor space being fully enclosed for the same reason! Great home for multiple families, lots of sleep options and bathrooms for privacy. We werenât too bothered but there is a very active train that has Amtrak frequently passing with some horns. Loved the walkability to moonlight beach, parks, and other cute spots nearby. The house is well stocked, itâs a big wish but travel to homes like this is amazing with kids and we often cook- if there were a few more nice to haves like cooking oil or pantry like items it would be a bonus. Otherwise, we had all we needed!
Awesome house in Encinitas very close to Moonlight Beach and easily walkable to all of Encinitas village. Great host very well appointed very clean all the things you want from a vacation rental.
Loved the house. Perfect for family of 9 adults. Walking distance to coffee, food, drinks and short walk to a beautiful beach! Weâll stay here again!
We enjoyed our stay/ location was close to beach and shopping (walking distance). There were towels, chairs, umbrella and boogie boards for our use. Had a lovely time and really enjoyed what Encinitas has to offer.
We had a wonderful time on our spring break trip to Encinitas. The home was immaculate when we arrived, with a very well appointed kitchen and bathrooms. Cheryl thought of everything you would need for a beach vacation, and we were more than comfortable as a family of 5, however the home could easily accommodate a much larger group. The kids loved the air hockey table, and we loved the hot tub. It was private in the backyard with pretty landscaping. Cheryl was extremely responsive and more than willing to accommodate our needs. The only drawbacks were the fact that all of the beaches within walking distance were closed for dredging, and the train does run right across the street from the house so you can hear it. That being said. It seemed to stop around 9:30 pm and I didnât hear it again until after I woke up in the mornings, so it didnât really bother us. We would certainly stay here again!
This property was AMAZING!! We had 4 adults and 2 kids, aged 11 and 8. The BRs had multiple beds. Kitchen had 2 dishwashers, 2 sinks, huge stove, and EVERYTHING well stocked. And 3.5 bathrooms! We enjoyed the hottub and air hockey table, as well as beach toys. I would highly recommend this property; easy, reliable communication with the manager.
This spacious property was pristine and well-located with easy walking access to downtown Encinitas, 101 and nearby beaches. The beds and couches were very comfortable, and everything was super well-organized -- we loved the kitchen and adjoining living room area. The hot tub was lovely, as well. Everything appeared to be recently remodeled; bathrooms were very nice and one even featured a bidet toilet. And our family, who we were visiting, were just a mile down the road. Further, it was quiet at night and allowed for a restful sleep. We would absolutely stay here again!
This was the cleanest and most organized and well stocked vacation rental that we have stayed at. Thank-you for the comfortable stay and easy check in process.
