Saajola by Interhome
325 km to the north from Rovaniemi, 19 km to the north from Hetta (municipality center of Enontekiö), located in Leppäjärvi village, distance to the Leppäjärvi shore is 150 m across the terrain, no own beach, no boat, larger lake Lijankijärvi behind the Lijankivaara hill, distance 2,2 km, ATV trail lead to the lake.
Wooden house, built in 1985, renovated in 2017. Living room with sofa bed and bunk bed, kitchen, bedroom with double bed, spreadable sofa for two (160 cm wide when spread) in the fireplace room, sauna, washroom, separate WC, walk-in closet, spacious glazed porch (no heating) and large storage.
Carport and garage available for guests. The garage also has two heating sockets. Saajola is a cozy and well-maintained house in the Leppäjärvi village. Neighboring houses are inhabited.
There is a spacious glazed porch (ideal for pets) in the house. Large storage available. Large chest freezer for bigger catches in the storage.
This is a nice base for trips to the wilderness of the northern parts of Enontekiö or Norway. The nearest point of the Tarvantovaara Wilderness Area is about 5 km away, Pöyrjärvi Wilderness Area in Näkkälä, distance is about 20 km. There is a popular mountain biking trail from Näkkälä to the Pöyrisjärvi.
Hunting: Small game hunting permits in state-owned lands, large hunting destinations 1614 Hetta-Karesuvanto and 1615 Näkkälä (www.eraluvat.fi).
Fishing: Fishing in lakes is usually permitted with the fisheries management fee. One fishing rod can be used. More information see www.eraluvat.fi Fishing in rapids is permitted with a separate fishing permit, for example, 1551 Enontekiö Wilderness (www.eraluvat.fi).
Services of Enontekiö municipality center 20 km, Hetta hiihtomaa winter sports center (ski lift and ski tracks) 22 km, Fell Lapland visitor center 22 km.
Border crossing point to Norway 17,5 km, Kautokeino 60 km.
