Perfect cottage!

The cottage was in a beautiful area of Escanaba. However, the entire upper peninsula of Michigan is beautiful. Escanaba has everything you need for a vacation. The upper peninsula has many points of interest. We really enjoyed the Pictured Rocks cruise.

Great weekend on Ford River

We had an excellent stay at Riverland Lodge. The place is very clean, comfortable and well appointed. As soon as you walk in you feel at home. The river view and property are amazing. We visited many friends in the area and looked at a few houses for sale as we hope to return full time. Owners are very kind with great communication. Our dogs loved walks on the property and the River. We had fantastic weather as well. Thank you for sharing this peaceful gem.

Nice place right on the river!

We visited early spring and the place was very nice. Clean and comfortable and right on the river! It seems like a really great place to be, especially in warmer weather - we came the week of snow and ice so outdoor activities were limited but still enjoyed the getaway.

Great stay

Beautiful property - we saw bald eagles and a flock of turkeys just across the river. Quiet, close enough drive to excellent hiking and sight-seeing, and great for a remote work week.

Amazing Stay

Riverland Lodge was so clean and on a beautiful property. We sat with a cup of coffee and took in everything this place had to offer. We saw deer, turkeys, rabbits. And two bald eagles visited a tree next to the river each day. If you want some piece of mind and time to relax this is an amazing place to stay.

Riverland Lodge was wonderful!

We were very impressed with Riverland Lodge. it had a wonderful river view with a wrap around deck that you could relax and have coffee in the morning or grilling out at night. It was perfect for the relaxing vacation we wanted. It was also close to many of the sites we wanted to see. The house was very clean and well kept and had everything we needed. And the hosts were very easy to communicate with. And our dog loved it as much as we did! Definitely would recommend staying here.

Great Stay

We became comfortable with the place rather quickly, nice open floor plan and clean. Ford River out back was clean and entertained us with fish. The ORV trail is about 30 yards from the driveway to trail and is in good shape. Definitely recommend staying here, hosts are great to communicate with

Week in the UP

We were looking for a private property on some water to just sit back and relax. We found that and more at Riverland Lodge. The house was clean and inviting and included everything you could possibly need for the stay and plenty of room for the four of us. We spent 85% of the trip outside on the deck or around the fire pit enjoying nature at its finest. The location was perfect for running to town for groceries or quick jaunt over to the casino for a few hours. The hosts were very responsive and welcoming.

Amazing spot for a relaxing, quiet, and serene retreat!

Heading home feeling like a brand new woman. From check-in to check-out, everything went smoothly. Pictures posted for this listing do not do the entire property justice! The home is amazing and beautifully decorated. My family and I all felt at home the days/nights spent here. We talked about hosting several more birthday's & celebrations at Riverland Lodge.

Home was spotless and well appointed. Great communication from the owners and the stay couldn’t have been easier. Especially love the place was dog friendly, check out instructions were easy (no need to strip beds, start laundry, etc!) and the view couldn’t be beat.

The Perfect Escape!

This was honestly the most relaxing vacation we’ve ever had. Arrived very late and the hosts had kindly welcomed us with the lights and fireplace on. This house is absolutely stunning, and incredibly clean. Entire home is perfectly organized, and all dishes/silverware, cupboards and drawers spotless. Generous supplies provided. The cathedral ceilings add such an impressive, dramatic touch. High quality towels, linens and beds. New washer/dryer was so nice to have for our 9-day stay. The 5 acre property is gorgeous, quiet and secluded. To hear only the birds and the river was truly heaven for us. There are plenty of things to see & do in the area; however, we chose to spend all of our time at the house, enjoying the nature, tranquility, and comforts of the house with our dog. WiFi is excellent, should you need it. We’ll definitely be back, hopefully this fall. Relaxing, peaceful getaway!

This is our second time booking this beautiful spot on the Ford River for our Sisters Weekend. Just as our first visit, our hosts and this home did not disappoint. Amazing.

Pleasant stay

We stayed here over the Thanksgiving break. Very calm and quiet place. Very clean and had all the supplies we needed in plenty. The RV tracks were livery to walk our dog and for some deer spotting. Also the occasional hunters. The only downside is the place does not have a dishwasher and so the utensils were a bit crusty as this entirely depends on the previous occupants. Would be great to have the housekeeping ensure the previous tenants did a good job. All in all we had a wonderful stay.
